Kasper needs to get rolling though. This is the 4th season after his draft year. You don't expect a #8 overall to make the NHL in the 1st season or even the 2nd season. Should be contributing by year 3 though, which he did with 19 goals and 37 points in 77 games, something to build upon. But by year 4 you should be breaking through, and so far 3G 0A 3pts in 18 games ain't it.

The first goal against the Wings was pathetic. Then powerplay chances late in the 2nd to go up 5-1 but instead were stopped and Buffalo got a late goal. Then the shorthanded goal midway through the 3rd. Then not converting on the powerplay late in regulation. I would love a guy like Tage Thompson on the Wings.

I remember feeling like a bit of an imposter in 2006 after joining the board mid-season of that year. Because while I was a diehard Tigers fan since the mid-70s, I drifted away from following the Tigers closely from around 1995-2005. I knew the main storylines, but certainly didn't suffer through the day to day struggles. I don't think I was alone in that. 2006 brought a whole generation back, it felt great to care about the Tigers again.

Brought back memories as I went deeper down the rabbit hole - Looked up their stats to confirm Sanchez was with the Tigers in 2003-2004 and Logan 2004-2005 - typed “Detroit Tigers 2003”, and separately “Detroit Tigers 2004” and “Detroit Tigers 2005” into YouTube. That yielded maybe 10, or a dozen, game broadcasts from those years total - then Googled to see whether Logan or Sanchez played in the selected game. As one example: Detroit KC April 4, 2005 boxscore. If the answer was yes, could look up the play by play under box score to see when Logan or Sanchez got on base. Could quickly skip through the broadcast to get to the relevant at bats - got lucky in that the relatively small number of videos yielded a good mix of bunts, baserunning and even a homer in which they featured
