Washington, #1 in the conference but with no players at 4 Nations, came out of the break flying, blowing out Pittsburgh 8-3.
New York Rangers, #11 in the conference and having sent 6 players to 4 Nations, got bombed 8-2 by Buffalo.
Good post. For all that state contributes at the high school and college level, it’s been pretty much dud at the NHL level. The Wild especially, as you noted. But even the North Stars, hard to think of anything memorable about them except the bright green jerseys and the Dino Ciccarelli-led run to the final one year.
I’ve seen that too. But I’ve looked though it and seems to be a pretty normal schedule until it gets to the end when they finish with 5 of 6 games on the road.
I switched to Coke after my 2nd beer but even 2 beer is double what I drink 99% of the time. Yesterday was first time in ages I’ve spent more than an hour in a bar at one time - during NFL season I’ll often stop in to watch one quarter of the Sunday night game (starts 5:15pm my time)
ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski calls Larkin a lock for the Olympic team.

Larkin flashed his game-breaking speed and was the offensive difference-maker in the win over Canada in Montreal, scoring the go-ahead goal. The Red Wings center was used as a primary penalty killer for Sullivan. He did nothing in 4 Nations but help his case for the Olympics.
He’s already had his big play this tourney. The check, catch, and shoot in the matter of seconds to clinch Monday’s game. This is McDavid’s time. Book it.
Bar has been playing 100% Canadian content all night during breaks. Tragically Hip into Rush into Bryan Adams into Loverboy, lol. No Drake yet. I’m going to request Poppy Family
2-2 after 2. This is as good as I expected from Team Canada. Tie game, if it gets late still tied, would you rather have the best player McDavid or the best goalie Hellebuyck.
