What a difference an injury and 90 seconds makes. I remember with 5 minutes to go thinking that, yeah, the Copp injury is going to hurt but if they hang on tonight then suddenly their post-Olympics record will be 4-2-1 with 5 of those 7 game having been on the road, not bad at all. I can’t remember a year when the disparity between the East and West’s playoff cut line has been so wide. In the East, the 8th and 9th place teams have 78 and 76 points respectively. In the West, the 8th and 9th place teams have 67 points each.
