  1. Penn State: Team Most Likely To Throw 1st Down Interception In Final Minute of Tie Game ND wins 27-24
  2. Notre Dame is our better chance of knocking off Ohio State, who should be heavily favoured
  3. Lakers game cancelled for tonight. Have to think Rams-Vikings will be moved The one team no one is talking about is the Buccaneers. They could be more dangerous than the Rams. Played the Lions almost as close in last year’s playoffs as the Rams did. Early this season beat the Lions and thumped both the Commanders and Eagles. Survived injury troubles in middle of season that looked to derail season. Have won 6 of their past 7 (albeit over weak competition). Offense is 4th in the NFL in points per game whereas the Rams were 20th. Maybe I’m overrating them and should discount for weakness of their division.
  4. Anybody but Minnesota in the divisional round. Fine with playing Minnesota in the championship game, but not back to back. I'll be cheering for Green Bay, Washington and the Rams this weekend and as long as one of them wins that will be fine.
  5. And spent a lot of time playing with a lead…
  6. The Calgary @ LA Kings NHL game was postponed tonight, by the way. I know the NFL is much bigger business and the game is still 4 days away, but wonder when shifting the venue becomes a real possibility. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43336438/nfl-monitoring-los-angeles-wildfires-ahead-vikings-rams
  7. Philly is the toughest threat in the NFC, imo. Two cracks at getting them knocked out before the Lions would have to deal with them themselves in the NFC championship. So, uh, go Packers. And since that upset is unlikely, I’m ready to cheer against the Eagles the following week too.
  8. Kane has 4G 4A 8Pts during this 5 game winning streak.
  9. Lions have won 3 in a row. Pistons have won 4 in a row. Wings have won 5 in a row.
  10. It's getting crowded. And Boston is sitting at 45 points having played 3 more games than the Wings.
  11. Ken Kal’s call of the game winner. “Showtime, baby!” Kane beats Sens.m4a
  12. Winner! Games are fun again.
  13. An overtime powerplay for the Wings with 2:50 to go.
  14. Listening on the radio late in a 2-2 game. Edvinsson is playing. Into the final minute of regulation …
  15. Man, this is what happens living on the West Coast. There's stuff I need to do before dinner and when I'm gone the 2nd period blows up - so to summarize, two Ottawa goals and two Red Wing injuries? Blech.
  16. Wait until Stephen A. Smith hears this
  17. Maybe Arnold just needs some good foot massages. Anyone know of a good Vietnamese spa within driving distance of the Lions' practices?
  18. Surely there's one on-field official who has enough peripheral vision to see the line of scrimmage with one eye and the play clock out of the corner of his other eye at the same time. Or for better visibility post a portable synced clock beside the down sign and yardage chains.
  19. I’m going to send that to some friends of mine who are not Lions fans but who know it is a great story unfolding. Look at the faces of those fans. Perfectly captures the mix of joy and yearning.
  20. Agreed! That Twitter account has calls of several big plays by the Vikings announcers. I like them. They don’t go into a monotone when there is a play that goes against their team, like some announcers do. Here are a couple more good ones:
  21. It’s January 6th and the Lions, Wings and Pistons have all kept their New Year’s Resolution to NOT LOSE. Meanwhile tons of people have already resumed smoking and have stopped going to the gym.
