  1. MLB Network promising live look-ins at every Miggy at-bat as he chases 3,000.
  2. Last home game of the season. Busy day in the area, with the Tigers also home and playing 2.
  3. Kaline had a home run wiped away once. Wasn’t when he was sitting on 399 though.
  4. This my favourite ever non-Red Wings NHL highlight. 3-time defending Cup champs were under 2 minutes from elimination in 1979 until …
  5. I don't think anyone seemed cooler or more exciting to me in the late '70s NHL than Guy Lafleur https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/guy-lafleur-obituary-1.5766441 Montreal Canadiens icon Guy Lafleur, who captured five Stanley Cup titles and was a hockey hero in Quebec long before his NHL playing days, has died. He was 70. The cause of death was not immediately known. However, Lafleur suffered through health issues in the latter stages of his life. In September 2019, he underwent quadruple bypass heart surgery, which was followed by lung surgery two months later. Then, in October of 2020, he endured a recurrence of lung cancer. "We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Guy Lafleur. All members of the Canadiens organization are devastated by his passing," Canadiens President Geoff Molson said in a statement. "Guy Lafleur had an exceptional career and always remained simple, accessible, and close to the Habs and hockey fans in Quebec, Canada and around the world. Throughout his career, he allowed us to experience great moments of collective pride. He was one of the greatest players in our organization while becoming an extraordinary ambassador for our sport." For decades, Lafleur — nicknamed "The Flower" — scored seemingly with ease at all levels of hockey and grew into the role of one of the game's flashiest superstars. He often mesmerized fans with his signature long blond hair flowing behind him as he rushed up the ice before unleashing one of his patented booming slapshots. By his 10th birthday, there were already signs that Lafleur was a generational talent, skating circles around kids three years his senior at an international peewee hockey tournament in Quebec City. Lafleur played junior hockey for the Quebec Jr. Aces and Quebec Remparts. He amassed a staggering 465 points in two seasons and two playoffs with the Remparts, leading the team to the Memorial Cup title in 1971. That year, Lafleur set the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League regular-season record of 130 goals, which was eclipsed by another French hockey prodigy, Mario Lemieux (133), in the 1983-84 campaign.
  6. Would like to see Bertuzzi get 30. Needs two more.
  7. Dan’s call of the game-ending double play. DP Beats Yankees.m4a
  8. Even a 6-4-3 dp would have got Miggy pitched to.
  9. Intentional walk?
  10. That looked pretty good off the bat.
  11. Good news: MLB Network is showing the whole game Bad news: Yankees feed EDIT: Tigers fees after all
  12. If this is all there is, it does seem pretty ridiculous he got fired for this. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nhl/red-wings/2022/04/20/detroit-red-wings-zamboni-driver-al-sobotka-fired-peeing-into-drain/7383179001/
  13. Wings pick up 30th win of season in most unlikeliest of places. On the road agaisnt two-time defending Cup champs.
  14. And then give it up and get it back! Vrana again. 4-3 with 11 minutes to go.
  15. Cole pulled after 68 pitches in 1 2/3 inning. 46 pitches in this 2nd inning and Tigers still have the bases loaded.
  16. Scoreless after 1. Wouldn’t have predicted that. Bolts must all have the flu or something.
  17. Helluva at-bat for a #9 hitter.
  18. Crazier and crazier.
  19. Isn't it just 13 episodes left (11 now)?
  20. I have to wonder just a bit how much different the Wings and Canucks would be if it had been the Wings firing their coach and hiring Bruce Boudreau earlier this year. Sure, talent is talent, and the Wings don't have enough. But the Wings were ahead of the 8-15-2 Canucks when Vancouver made the change on December 5. Now the Canucks are 18 points ahead of the Wings.
  21. I thought you were asking about who is Sidd Finch (but then I re-read and saw it was about the Cameron post).
  22. What I like about this year is at least we care.
