  1. Why not just another tush push on 3rd down?
  2. Have only been watching the Lions, but the Wings are tied 1-1 with the Sens in Ottawa with 13 minutes left in regulation. DeBrincat just tied it.
  3. 10-0 Lions. Lions will figure out this Packers defense, if halftime if not sooner.
  4. TP is at the game. He will have a talking to with Ben before the next possession.
  5. 7-0 Lions. This first Green Bay drive should tell us a lot. Opens with a sack.
  6. Hawks fired coach Luke Richardson today.
  7. My daughter is in her freshman year at McGill in Montreal. I'll visit her at some point between January-March. Tickets for the Wednesday Canada-Sweden opener are somewhat reasonable, around C$250 to get in the door. Canada-U.S. on the Saturday less so. I think I'd rather one of those games over a regular season Habs game.
  8. Where have you gone, Yvan Cournoyer? Tidbit of note from the article: "The top Canadian goalie in the NHL so far this year is Detroit’s Cam Talbot, 37, of Caledonia, Ontario, who has a .915 save percentage in 15 games" https://edmontonjournal.com/sports/hockey/nhl/cult-of-hockey/politics-factored-into-quebec-goalie-getting-picked-for-team-canada-nhl-insider-says Politics factored into Quebec goalie getting picked for Team Canada, NHL insider says
  9. Detroit 42 Green Bay 29 The red zone struggles and 2nd half stops of last week will make the offense even more laser-focused than ever to finish the job m
  10. This was a great catch by Chet Lemon. Leaping over the fence to catch it was cool, but what elevates it is Chet having the confidence and presence of mind to pause, look into the camera and call his shot right during the play. 🙂
  11. Yep, to me it’s not an international tournament without the Russians. I have little interest in this.
  12. If the Lions win the toss tomorrow, I'm hoping they receive for a change. a) it will make TP's head explode, which could be fun to witness; and b) I think Goff would lead them on a TD drive and the Lions would be playing from ahead wire to wire, instead of Love making an immediate statement against the Lions defense to start the game.
  13. Garbage Bruins winner. That was a penalty! After calling back a Wings goal on a ticky tack offside call earlier in the game Is Boston Bruins Watcher Jack Edwards in disguise?
  14. What a move by Larkin! So close to winning it.
  15. Overtime. I actually have a good feeling - the Wings deserve a win.
  16. The first Wing I hated was Dan Maloney. As a 12 year old I called him Pigman. For all I know he was a perfectly fine fellow off the ice.
  17. Wings take a penalty with 4:48 to go. Just like Sunday vs Vancouver, but the Wings not ahead like they were Sunday.
  18. The team in general has not stunk as bad the half dozen games or so. Raymond is hot! 2-1 Wings.
  19. I hate offside challenges.
  20. Home stretch is over. On the road tonight in Boston. 1-1 midway through 1st, as Raymond scores again.
  21. Rich Eisen on the Monday after is becoming a tradition, an enjoyable one.
  22. Lachey is a pro. I heard he was planning to miss the game so he could attend his son's Seniors Day game at Iowa the day before, but Ryan Day chartered a plane to get to Columbus on time. That final sequence was so lame. 1st down at the 25 with 45 seconds and you don't throw downfield once, keep repeating a play that isn't working: 1st down - incomplete pass out of bounds at the right sideline to the 27; 2nd down - complete pass to the right sideline for a gain of 1 yard to the 26; 3rd down - incomplete pass sails way out of bounds around the 40 at the right sideline; 4th - incomplete short pass to around the 28, only receiver anywhere close, standing around the 26, would have been quickly tackled if the pass had hit him.
  23. This is the worst I've felt about the Lions' chances at the #1 seed for awhile. Eagles play 4 of their final 5 games at home, with two of them (vs. Panthers, vs Giants) virtual gimmes. Will be heavily favoured hosting Dallas too. I guess at Pittsburgh and to a lesser extent at Washington poses some risk to them. But the Eagles definitely have a shot at winning out. It's a lot to ask the Lions to win out. If the Lions go 4-1 as long as that loss is to Buffalo, the Lions no matter what would finish ahead of Philadelphia. The Lions will clinch the division if they go 3-2 as long as two of those wins are over GB and Minnesota. At this point, with 5 games to go, I'd say the most likely spot they'll finish is #2, but #1, #5 and #6 are all possible.
