I remember saying earlier in the year that the Bengals were a better team than everyone thinks, but I never imagined this would happen. Gives you hope. Of course we suck in a year where the No. 1 team already has Trevor Lawrence and there seems to be no Joe Burrows. But who knows, QB stocks ALWAYS rise before the draft. Maybe Kenny Pickett or Matt Coral show something spectacular. The Bengals were two years further into their rebuild when they got Burrow. They had some decent players around him and the Lions really don't.

A friend of mine was dating someone who was angry at him for going with us (the boys) to a Michigan vs. Michigan State game when they were both undefeated and ranked in the Top 10, a very rare thing until this year. It was Sweetest Day. Well, it was a Noon game. The game is over by 3:30, he's home by 5 and they can still go out but NO, NO, that day was supposed to be completely dedicated to her. He explained that when he started dating her she knew he had season tickets and went to every home game, a whopping 5 or 6 times a year but her stance was "You're with me now". The relationship didn't last, thank goodness. My girlfriend has gone to games with me. I know she doesn't like football. She's just being nice.

If you compare Live TV audience numbers to anything in the past, it's probably going to drop. There are just so many more options. But here is an issue I have with the Grammys. Glass Animals are up for Best New Artist. This is their third album, The first two may not have charted in the United States, but that band has been around for a decade and their first album came out 7 years ago. Zero Credibility.
