Seriously how was that not DPI? Ill take the completion but the defender never turned back for the ball and prevented Patrick from going to it without fighting through it. That wouldve been DPI against our guys for sure.

I'd like to see a replay of that holding call, the one they showed Branch wasn't near the ball so I'm assuming it was somebody else. Still would like to see how ticky tack or legit it was.

Lions can't go a drive without a DPI or holding, it's ridiculous.

Considering the other games on right now aren't exactly sexy matchups if this game is close I wouldn't be surprised if its the most watched game of the season thus far outside of maybe opening night.

Right now I see Greene, Meadows, Keith and Carp as your potential core players. The rest of the lineup should be open to upgrades if there are any potential ones out there. Don't pass on proven players for guys like Sweeney, Jung, Vierling and Tork. If those guys end up improving/bouncing back great you can always find at bats for them but I'd like to get either more proven players or better players then depending on them next year.

Yeah for real, collectively they are 16-4 against all non division opponents. It's been 3 weeks since any of them have lost a game outside of the GB/Minny game where somebody had to lose.

Speaking of passing on Hutch, I saw an article on ESPN last week that posed hypothetical trades contenders can make and one suggested Walker to the Lions for a mid round pick. Walker has shown to put together good games here and there but unfortunately for him not nearly enough consistently. Perhaps if we got him those good games could coincide with games that Hutch isn't at his best.

Credit to them for putting the ball in play but it is just amazing how many cheap hits the Guardians have gotten in this series.

If its still a 1 run game next time Carpenter comes to the plate if I'm Vogt short of the bases being loaded I'm walking him. Make guys like Vierling and the struggling Greene beat you.

I'm guessing if Vierling would've drawn a walk that Hinch would've then pinch ran for Carpenter. Probably figures with him on 1st he wants to see how the inning plays out before taking him out of the game.

The Tigers have seen 77 pitches thus far, they have swung and missed on a remarkable 23 of them. I guess they are atleast getting their cuts in.

Worth noting that this is only Boyd's 10th start of the year, in previous years he was a pretty good pitcher for his first 10 or so starts of the season before turning into a pumpkin or getting injured.

I saw on ESPN that Hinch says that he's hopeful that Carpenter will atleast be available off the bench today. I'm doubtful of that but I like the fact that he atleast puts that thought in Vogt's head instead of just outright ruling him out for the game.

Yeah I laugh at some of those fan made trade proposals. I seen one last week involving the Chiefs and Jamo. They didn't say what the compensation for us would be just brought up all the reasons it made sense for the Chiefs and of course neglected to say one good reason why it made any sense for the Lions.

Let's hope Carpenter is ok after coming up lame rounding 3rd.
