  1. Unlike the Tigers, jokes can't all be winners.
  2. Ah I see, like Oblong I had no audio so I wasn't sure what was going on. I thought maybe the murderer used to play Paws at Tigers game or something.
  3. I'm doing my part by still wearing the same clothes I've had on since August 11th, it seems to be helping the Tigers.... can't say the same for my personal life though.
  4. Last time the Tigers won a postseason game the pitchers were Fister, AL Alburquerque, Phil Coke and Joaquin Benoit.
  5. Yeah they'll be pleading with the Chiefs/Kelce to have Taylor Swift show up in Kaufmann.
  6. Meadows is just so good in center. Peak Austin Jackson was really really good but Meadows may be even better than him.
  7. Tork tells us all to screw off! Good for him!
  8. lol glad I wasn't the only person that thought of him when they said Tim Herron.
  9. It may have, watching it but also doing work at the same time so wasn't paying complete attention.
  10. I thought they called for him before Carpenter was announced for the sole reason to get him out the game?
  11. Agreed, if a guy was on 2nd then yeah but with a guy on 1st and 1 out your chances of scoring aren't very high regardless.
  12. I meant last game but had a brain fart and was thinking Carp's HR put them up by 1 instead of 3. And I meant baseball people overall, not Tigers fans. Not too long ago it was unheard of to have somebody like Brieske that would open games, go middle relief, high leverage hold situations and be a part time closer.
  13. The guy you trusted to protect a 1 run game in the 9th inning in game 2, you bring out in the 5th inning in game 3. That would've made people's heads explode not too long ago.
  14. Tork couldn't hit a beach ball at this point.
  15. Dikembe Mutombo who just died at the age of 59(RIP) was still in the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder had yet to play a game and Al Horford was just a rookie.
  16. Petco is wild, I think the fact that the padres are the only pro sports team in town now makes their fans more passionate towards them.
  17. Yeah look at the batters faced number. Nowadays managers usually only like the very best guys to even go through the lineup 3 times, Ryan went through it 6 times this game with a few seeing him 7 times.
  18. I was at game 5 of the 2011 ALCS where the Lions were playing on MNF against the Bears(and sitting at 4-0 no less) the same day. It was a complete madhouse down there.
  19. Considering virtually every game for the past several years was 1/2 full to 3/4 full at best it's gotta be overwhelming for the staff to be dealing with crowds like they are gonna get the next couple games.
  20. Iirc Saleh was at the top of my wish list that year even though I usually preferred offensive minded coaches. I was underwhelmed initially at the Campbell hire, only cause he wasn't a hot shot coordinator which was all the craze then and for the most part now. But after his presser and doing more research on how he was a Payton protege along with not being anti analytic he won me over. Felt like he could give you the best of both worlds, a coach that players respect and get motivated by but also a guy that can be an Xs and Os type guy that has an open mind to new school football.
  21. Maybe it's age, maybe it's the decade of misery that just numbed me to my sports teams but I don't get as anxious or invested in them as I used to. I mean I still care and am excited when they do well but the losses don't bother me like they used to.
  22. Skubal side note, in his last 7 starts dating back to August he has gone 45IP giving up 5 runs TOTAL with a remarkable 49 to 3 K:BB ratio. In 6 of those 7 starts he has given up 4 base runners or less. Going back to his last 11 starts he has given up 1 run or fewer in 9 of them(2 and 3 in the other 2). Just an absolute monster run right when the Tigers needed it the most.
  23. They gotta take a pit stop in Toledo to hit up Tony Packo's and play some underground poker at one Deuce's establishments.
