I think it was Cody Stavenhagen that wrote that he talked to a couple Sports Doctors(not necessarily ones affiliated with the Tigers) and they said as long as there isn't any setbacks this injury typically takes 6-8 weeks to heal for athletes. I've seen NFL players return from supposed fractured foots even sooner though.

Our old friend Justin Upton was just DFA'd by the Angels, would he be somebody to look at?

I probably should go back and double check before saying this but IIRC the Tigers pitchers out pitched their peripherals by quite a bit, something like a half a run or so. Now that could be a product of improved scouting and defensive positioning, location on pitches to induce weaker contact or just flat out luck. If it's the latter and their run prevention regresses to what their peripherals suggested that is going to hurt us in a big way. You're talking about an 80 run difference over the course of the season so I think that is the main reason why projections are down on the team.

Gotta love when that happens, I took a swing with my third guess and while it wasn't the right answer it essentially made the final answer a gimme for me. Wordle 287 4/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 -
I've seen a couple new mocks now have the Seahawks trading up with the Giants at 5 to grab Willis with the offer of number 9, a 2nd and either a 3rd or 4th. Would you take that if they offered that to us or would you want atleast a future 1st to fall back that far?

I didn't think of the Oklahoma connection at first, perhaps Casey wanted to give any potential Oklahoma State fans that may have paid to see Cade atleast some action from him? IDK it's not a big deal either way just strange to see that he would even bother playing him for like 7 minutes. Seems like you'd just give him the whole game off. -
It sucks but as long as it isn't something that lingers throughout the year or effects his performance it shouldn't be that big of deal. It's hard to put a real timetable on it without knowing what bone it is in his foot and how severe the fracture is but I've seen NFL players come back from a fractured foot in under a month. Of course the Tigers aren't going to rush him back and the month timeline is the best case scenario, there have certainly been situations that took longer but the optimist in me is thinking he will be ready to join the team by Mid May which isn't all that bad. It just sucks though cause the Tigers had such little margin for error when it comes to being legit contenders, they needed everything to go right so starting off the year with something like this doesn't help things at all. Perhaps we'll get lucky and somebody like Reyes will put together a hot month or so to offset the loss.

Damn Casey screwed with Cade's per game numbers by playing him for like 5 minutes instead of just giving him the night off. -

Wordle 286 4/6 🟩🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟩🟨⬜ 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Almost got it in 3 which I've only done a few times, after the 2nd guess with the letters I had left I narrowed it down to 3 likely options, unfortunately I got it on the 2nd option instead of the 1st. -
Tweets from tomorrow. "Doctors have advised amputation for Tigers prized prospect Riley Greene, he is now going to see Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham Alabama for a second opinion."

Aside from somebody falling in love with one of the QBs and trading up the best scenario for the Lions is probably everything checking out with Thibs and all these suppose character or work ethic concerns were all just overblown or fabricated.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but the White Sox traded Kimbrel to the Dodgers for AJ Pollock. Even though I hate both teams I love these old school trades where it's just a proven veteran for another proven veteran. Both teams know what they are getting but both teams also know that they are dealing from a position of strength.

The playoff field is set in the East. Of course the seeding can change but the 10 teams have been decided, it isnt clinched yet but with 3 loss difference with just 6 to play I think we have a good idea who will be the top 6 and who will be the play in teams as well. https://www.espn.com/nba/standings

On top of coming into the league young I saw that this was just Killian's 82nd career game so perhaps there is still time to salvage something out of him. I have a hard time seeing him ever becoming a player that some may have hoped for when we drafted him but that doesn't mean he can't be of some use to us going forward and not end up being a total bust. -

Looking back at the results, in the 58 games pre ASB we had between 16 or 17 where you can say we were blown out, by that I'm saying trailing by either 20+ heading into the 4th or 15+ with like 6 minutes to go, in the 19 games since we've had zero. From going at a rate of about 1 in 4 games to 19 straight without one is quite a remarkable turnaround. That is of course just one of many stats that illustrates how much better we've been playing. -

Not the best outcome for tank purposes but really I don't mind that much, it's nice to see this team continue to play better and close out a quality opponent. Even if we win out the worst we can finish is 5th and that would take Indy losing all their games so more than likely the worst we'll finish is 4th. In a draft like this that's not the worst thing in the world so I'm just going to continue to root for them to play the best they can this last week or so, if they somehow manage to win all of them so be it. -
lol At the time of the name chance I saw several people half jokingly say things like "well atleast now they won't have to change all the letters in the clubhouse." Little did they know that it would actually happen.

Just saw on twitter that Tim Anderson has to miss the first 2 games of the regular season due to a carry over suspension from last year, we of course start the season with the White Sox so it's nice to know that we won't be seeing him kill us the first 2 games of the seasons.

Judging by his triple slash numbers Haase has had a solid spring, after his disastrous finish to the season last year I basically convinced myself that he just had a lucky couple months and not to expect anything from him going forward but if he indeed proves to not be a flash in the pan and gives the Tigers even passable numbers that is an unexpected bonus, atleast in my mind and projections.

Bobby Wagner to the Rams 5/50(no word on the guarantees), yeah just give us that 2023 32nd pick now and be done with it.
-
I don't think he will ever be confused with Clemente but I don't think he's Johnny Damon either so basically I say it's good enough for either position. Atleast from what I have read. Of course in this day and age with less and less traffic on the base paths arm strength and accuracy doesn't mean as much as it might have before.

From what I understand just like all other facets of running an organization the Dodgers spend many times the amount on scouting and development as other teams so that is another reason why they always have a deep system.

Barring a setback or injury to Cade I fully expect the Pistons to atleast be in competition for one of the play in spots next season and if they aren't that will be really disappointing. Since Cade has started hitting his stride a couple months ago they've basically played at or close to that level so you'd expect with another off season of growth from him, a full season of Bagley(assuming they resign him) and a top pick that they should play even better next season. -
I don't see the Lions taking a QB this draft either. I think first and foremost they just don't love any of them but I also think they want to give Goff a full year with better weapons and health for him and see how things go. Him and the team played much better the last 6 weeks after he returned from injury and St. Brown emerged, I think Holmes and company want to see if they can do that for a full year. If a Trevor Lawrence was sitting there I'm sure they would take him but that isn't the case.
