I wonder if Rodgers coming back changed the Lions strategy at all? Perhaps if he would've left the division the Lions may have saw an opening and spent some money to try to expedite their timeline but since he didn't they figured the smart thing would just be to stay the course and open up the wallet at another time.
-
I think the Lions are also hoping for some progression within with the likes of Levi, McNeil, J Okwara and maybe Barnes. If they get a couple of those guys to progress, along with an impact defender at 2 and possibly another solid one later on in the draft then the defense may look alot better.
-
I think the guys they brought back thus far were productive guys, just cause the defense sucked as a whole doesnt mean every player did. The Lions defense was horrible with guys like Slay and Diggs yet fans got mad when they got rid of them. I think the Lions figure to try to improve through the draft while keeping the players they thought were good.

It's the perfect year for the Lions to trade down but other teams are looking at the same set of players and thinking the same thing. The one thing we have going for us is the Texans sitting right behind us so if a team does fall in love with a QB they may want to make sure they get a head of them.

I don't like to treat stats like this as gospel but being ranked highly in it is certainly better than the alternative.

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
RandyMarsh replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
3 straight years of a sub 4 ERA including a 2.65 in 2020 and FIPs all sub 4 are pretty good to me. He's not an ace but he has gone on stretches of ace like pitching. I think he'd be a great get that shouldnt break the bank prospect wise. If it does then obviously you don't do it.- 1,851 replies

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
RandyMarsh replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
Reds continue to tear apart their team, just traded Winker and Suarez to the Mariners. If I were the Tigers Id be calling them about Luis Castillo, if he could be had for a reasonable price Id be all over him. Still has 2 years of control left.- 1,851 replies

The AFC West just keeps getting better, I do worry about ex NE guys though, particularly ones that NE doesnt put much effort in keeping. Trey Flowers is exhibit A of this.

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
RandyMarsh replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
I know alot of sports contracts have provisions against things like riding motorcycles but even if Tatis' did the Padres couldn't do anything about it anyway even if they wanted to since it was during the lockout, correct?- 1,851 replies

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?

Apparently the doctor's that looked at it are suggesting it's not a new injury, he got in a motorcycle accident sometime in the offseason which prompted somebody to ask him today this question. This was his response.- 1,851 replies

With them cutting Flowers and Okwara coming off an achilles injury its a little surprising that he wouldn't be a priority. Besides possibly having their eye on other NFL options Perhaps this is a sign that they plan on going DE at 2 whether it be Hutch, KT or the guy from Georgia as well.

I feel bad for the dude that just bought Brady's "last" TD ball at an auction on Saturday for 500K.

I have a feeling this is the signing that puts us over the top!

Goodrum signs with the Astros for 2.1 million plus incentives.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33483986/source-carolina-panthers-make-aggressive-offer-houston-texans-qb-deshaun-watson According to this article is says the Texans are reportedly asking for 3 1sts, "other picks" and a current player. If that were the case I think I'd be willing to deal our two 1sts this year, the Rams pick next year and maybe our comp pick and our 4th or 5th for him. Don't know what player they would ask from us though, but barring only a few guys I'd be willing to toss them in too. I said before that I wouldn't want to mortgage the future for him but I don't think this would kill us long term. We'd still have an early 2nd and 3rd round pick this year and all our own picks next year.
-
I forgot Manning finished the year last year with this performance. Those fastballs had a ton of life on them.
-
Wow I didn't realize how far Cooper stock has fallen, Browns got him for essentially a 5th round pick.
-
Now here's one if we decided to go QB at 32 instead. Hutch went 1 so I went with Hamilton, obviously Pickett probably wouldn't be there at 32 in real life but for the sake of the exercise you could swap him with Howell, Corrall or whoever else will likely be there.
-
Just for fun I wanted to do a mock to see what it could possibly be like if we did take Willis(or whatever QB of their choosing) at 2 and this is how it turned out. None of the top tier WR were available at 32 so I figure just double up on pass rushing to make up for not taking one with the 2nd pick. Also despite the F grade I would love to get Watson in the 3rd if we end up not getting a WR before then.

Wonder if it was the Tigers?

I wasn't talking about the 2nd extension, just saying that Correa is the same age that Miggy was with the 1st extension so if we played it safe then and didn't pony up the money for him in fear that he would suck in 5 or 6 years we never would've gotten him in the first place.

03/11/2022 07:30 EST Detroit Pistons @ Boston Celtics
RandyMarsh replied to casimir's topic in Detroit Pistons
I think I've seen him a handful of times now since he's been on the Pistons and I thought he has looked good just about every one of those times. He especially impressed me last night with a few of the moves he showed off. -
True but on the other hand you could say that it led us to Cabrera to begin with. I believe the extension we gave Miggy when we traded for him started at the same age Correa was now. If we weren't willing to give him that extension we wouldn't have traded for him, so by us/Mike being willing to take the chance and sign him to a big contract is what got us him for all those good years.

I tried your first one, that was pretty cool even though I didn't get it. I love geography so I'll have to do it again. Did the last one and got it, had a couple options at the end but luckily I guessed right. Daily Survivle 7: 5 rounds 🟨⬛⬛⬛⬛ 🟨🟨🟨🟩⬛ ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 https://lazyguyy.github.io/survivle/
