  1. Bagley having another great game, 20 and 8 thus far.
  2. 62-61 Pistons at the half. Cade with 18pts and 4 feeds, Bagley 12 and 6 boards and Grant with 13 points. Bey with an 0fer thus far but he does have 5 assists. Considering how well Boston has been playing particularly defensively this was a good first half.
  3. And then the writer woke up!
  4. Celtics with a quick 7-0 run after Cade goes to the bench to make it 50-50 with 5 left in the half.
  5. Jayson Tatum has been an absolute machine this game and for the past month as well. For the PIstons Cade looks good again, even his misses have resulted in a couple easy put backs cause of all the attention he drew at the rim. Bagley lhas been real active again as well.
  6. Not sure if it's been posted yet or if its true but here ya go.
  7. Had the last 4 letters on the latest one with 4 guesses left, there were 5 choices that fit with the letters still available, I of course picked the wrong 4. Wordle 265 X/6 🟨⬛🟨⬛⬛ 🟨🟩🟨⬛⬛ ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩
  8. Greinke's velo is a little concerning but he has damn near 80 command and is uncanny at the "art of pitching". I think he is and will continue to be one of those guys that is successful just by changing speeds, eye levels and overall keeping hitters off balance. Of course I doubt he will pitch like the ace that he used to be but I'm confident he will atleast be a plus starter that gives you innings.
  9. Rodon lost a lot of velocity and in turn effectiveness towards the end of the year. Considering his injury history that would be something that would deter me from giving him big money. With that said 2/44 isn't the worst deal in the world for a team like the Giants, hopefully for them he just had a tired arm due to not being used to pitching as much as he did last year.
  10. God some of those late 90s maroon and teal Pistons teams had a cast of characters that you almost forget played for the Pistons like Montross, Loy Vaught, Laettner(I remember him and Vaught signing being a big deal in the local media), Jud Buechler, Dana Barros, Stacy Augmon among a host of others. Otis Thorpe would be another one that fits the description but of course everybody remembers him cause of the Darko pick.
  11. Damnit I already bought all the beverages for the draft party, oh well Ill make sure they don't go to waste.
  12. Yeah I world think we'd be in the market for atleast 1 more SP, we don't have hardly depth there at the minor league level when the inevitable injury or ineffectiveness happens to one of the starting 5.
  13. Theres a lot more that I hate worse but Verhagen and Daniel Schlereth are the two that stand out that I irrationally hate for no real good reason other than sucking.
  14. Verhagen ranks pretty highly on my all time most hated Tigers, I mean he sucked so that is one reason to hate him but others have sucked worse that I didn't nearly hate as much. I think it was because he seemingly got never ending call ups despite never proving anything which bugged me.
  15. Not sure if the NBA still does this but when they instituted the play in games during thy covid bubble the higher seed only had to win 1 game where the lower had to win 2. That could be something they could do to reward the higher seeds since many folks don't think getting a bye is a good thing in baseball.
  16. The "NFL like tie break system" is the exact quote that I saw so I don't know if they mean literally exactly like it or just mean that there will be different tie breakers to determine who gets it instead of playing an extra game. If it's literal the first NFL tie breaker iis head to head record followed by divisional record(if they are in the same division, if not this doesn't come into play) and conference record. AFter that I'm not exactly sure, but I believe at some point points differential is there and record against common opponent.
  17. Not sure if it's been posted yet but no more game 163s, all playoff spots will be determined in an NFL like tie-breaker system.
  18. If they cut him now do they immediately get the salary cap savings cause perhaps they have a player(s) in mind that they want to have as much space for as possible?
  19. Kinda saw that coming, he's a cautionary tale of putting too much stock into things like pressures, pass rush win rate and other metrics if the guy doesn't have a history of actually finishing the play and getting the sacks. Cause according to those metrics he was borderline elite by those metrics before we got him and iirc even a year or two with us but as we saw he never really made a major impact on the field save for a few game stretch his first season here. Perhaps his pressures helped create sacks for Okwara which is the reason he broke out, you'd have to go back and review it but even if that's the case with the money he was being paid you'd expect him to actually get more sacks himself.
  20. If I knew with a fair certainty that nothing like this would happen again Id trade basically whatever for him, cause securing a young elite qb is worth just about anything in this league but as an outsider Im not that certain which is why I wouldn't. If I had better insight into the whole situation and him as a person I may feel different but without knowing Im not willing to mortgage the teams future for him despite how great he is on the field. Now if it "only" cost this year's 2 1sts and say a mid draft pick then sure Id be willing to take that risk but if you're talking about giving up 1sts for the next several years like I suspect it would take I just can't do that at this moment.
  21. I wouldn't, I mean I would if I knew he could be had for a ridiculously low price but if he's cleared he's likely going to make the Wilson return look like peanuts and at that price its just way too risky given his character. He may be cleared this time but who knows when the next time will come.
  22. I think the league views Wentz more favorably than Goff or at the very least they have more confidence that they can maximize his potential but with that said I wonder if Washington made any calls to the Lions for Goff and if they wouldve been willing to offer up anything close to what they gave up for Wentz? If they did I certainly would have pulled the trigger, we would still need a stop gap until our qb of the future gets drafted but in that case we could sigh somebody like Bridgewater or hell even Trubisky on a short term deal.
  23. One thing I will say though is after thinking about it if we do draft a qb it better be at 2 and not 32. Assuming somebody doesn't trade with Jax you are guaranteed to get your number 1 QB at 2 whereas at 32 you may only get your 4th or 5th guy. QB is way too important of position to settle for your 4th or 5th option. Essentially it is choosing between getting your number 1 QB and say possibly 5th ranked pass rusher at 32 or taking your number 1 pass rusher at 2 and taking your 4th or 5th ranked qb at 32. I much prefer the first outcome.
  24. Yeah barring injury or Goff playing like an absolute disaster I would assume he sits all next year which is both a plus but also can be a minus though if he doesnt pan out. Reason being is that instead of knowing immediately he isn't the guy like the Cards did with Rosen you are now tied atleast 2 years before you know with the more likely outcome being 3 or 4.
