  1. Cade makes his first career 3, a near 40fter as the shot clock expired. Perhaps that's the secret, he just needs to start shooting from Steph Curry range.
  2. Not sure if he is going to sign an extension but if not John Gray of the Rockies is somebody Id be interested in. Power stuff, good k rate and better peripherals than ERA would show. Could be a high upside guy.
  3. Casey said all of Cade's restrictions have been lifted so no more resting on b2bs. Also I saw something on Twitter about him saying that he put back on the weight he lost, I don't know the context to that but I wonder if he also has been sick on top of the ankle injury cause you don't usually lose weight when you're injured and not playing(see Zion)? That may have explained his struggles.
  4. I think MSU is going to drop one and Michigan will go into OSU game with a chance to get to Indy and possibly the playoff only to crap the bed against them. Either a blowout or heartbreaking loss, take your pick. They'll suck the fanbase back in only to crush their souls once more.
  5. In defense of the Hock pick I think management felt that their best chance of competing was to load up on offense and outscore everybody and Hock seemed to be a great fit to complement our then solid wr corp and Stafford. I don't think they were concerned with value or even 5 years down the road, they just wanted the player who they felt could help them get to the playoffs the following year. Dont agree with the move but I can atleast see the logic.
  6. Virtually any NFL qb is capable of having a great game on any given week, if you're a qb on an nfl roster that means that you are like one of the 75 best at what you do in the entire world so even the bad ones have enough talent to look good one week.
  7. Yeah I really dont care about the record as long as the supposed core guys look good or show progression. I would like to see more competitive games though, that's what made last year the impressive tank that it was, they lost but they were atleast competitive most nights. I saw a stat yesterday on Twitter, all of last year the Pistons were only on the losing end of 7 blowouts, this year they already have 4. I can't remember what he used to constitute a blowout but that either way that's not a good start to the year.
  8. Barnhart wasted no time photo shopping himself into a Tigers uniform for his profile pic on Twitter, between that and the letter he posted he genuinely seems excited to be here.
  9. Buster Posey walked away from 22 million dollars, if only we would get that lucky and Cabrera would do something similar next offseason. Of course unlike Cabrera, Posey is still valuable so Im sure the Giants aren't exactly thrilled about this.
  10. I guess that leaves Fister as the odd man out. I see that he was with the Red Sox in 2017, if only he stayed with them one more year.
  11. I brought up the name before but I wonder if the Mariners would be interested in trading JP Crawford and if so what would it take to get him? They have a couple advanced SS prospects on the horizon so they may feel he is expendable. He's around league average with the bat, considering what we got from SS last year that might as well be Tatis Jr. and he plays solid defense. Still young enough at 26 where there may be some growth there. I suspect for all those reasons he won't be cheap but who knows if he could be had for a combo of guys outside of our top tier he may be worth a look if we decide to go in the non superstar FA direction.
  12. I didn't watch the Milwaukee game but from what I saw in the Orlando game I think Cade will be fine. He had no problems getting off good shots but they just weren't falling. I suspect he didnt magically forget how to shoot so I chalk it up to nerves and just a bad shooting stretch like the whole team is going through. It happens to almost everybody but unfortunately for Cade and the Pistons it is happening at the start of the season so it is that much more magnified. I don't expect the team to be the Warriors in terms of shooting but there is no way they are a true 38/20/62 percentage team like they are shooting now. That is bound to correct itself and things will start to look better for the team.
  13. Sounds like it's for Nick Quintana.
  14. Jon Heyman made his FA predictions and he has Correa coming here for "something in the neighborhood of 10/300". Personally I think he's going to cost more than that but who knows perhaps having a few other big name SSs on the market will lower the price.
  15. I think it will be Cora's to lose. People forget that the Red Sox were about as bad as the Tigers were last year and really weren't expected to do much this year. Not saying that they truly were as bad as their record last year nor aren't way more talented than the Tigers but Im sure voters will just lazily look at that and call it a day. I think it will go Cora, Servais and Cash or Baker. AJ will probably receive some votes though.
  16. Cade just took his first real bad shot, a forced 3 after spinning a way from a defender. He definitely seems to be forcing things more now than he did at the start of the game.
  17. I thought Cade looked real good his first stint despite the 0-5 shooting, since he came back in the 2nd time he hasn't looked as good but as I'm typing this he just scored. He's turned it over a couple times his 2nd stint including dropping a pass that would've been a dunk. Still looks good on defense though.
  18. Wagner looked pretty good that quarter. Besides making a couple 3s he just looked really active and didn't have a deer in the headlights look or anything. Looked like a seasoned vet out there.
  19. Killian 0-3 thus far but he has definitely made a positive impact on this game. His defense has been real impressive and the Pistons are getting better looks than they have all season thus far.
  20. I know very little about guns but since the movie is based in the 1800s I'm guessing the weapon at hand is a revolver. If so how complicated is it to make sure there isn't a bullet in there? It's not like removing a clip and forgetting one was in the chamber, with a revolver don't you just have to look in the cylinders and that's it?
  21. Bringing JJ in to start that drive after what he did the last time he touched the ball was the real head scratcher to me. Granted you can't plan for something that disastrous to happen but why even risk putting him in that position at that point? I will say again though that I think MSU deserves a ton of credit though for how they played in the 2nd half. Walker was an absolute beast, no matter what Michigan tried they couldn't stop him and I don't think there should be a ton of shame in that. He's playing like the best player in the country so sometimes you face a guy that you can't stop. Then the one WR made for them made 2 spectacular 1st down catches(some may say that the one hit the ground), if he didn't do that then the drive probably stalls. Sometimes teams can come back and it not be because the other team choked, sometimes you just play really well and I think that is what happened in this game.
  22. Lack of a signature win is good criticism but if UM handles that punt against State years ago they win that game. If the refs call the 4th down spot correctly against OSU years ago he wins that one too. If those things happened would that magically make him a better coach?
  23. I agree. Just by nature these guys are competitive as hell or else they wouldn't have gotten as far as they have so they are always going to want to be the best they can be. Look at Miggy for example, yeah he has sucked since he signed his contract but it isn't due to lack of effort. He has constantly played through injuries where he could've just sat out and collected a pay check. If you follow his social media during the offseason you will constantly see him "putting in work" as well. These guys don't want to embarrass themselves out there.
  24. I'm not a Harbaugh faithful at all, I would definitely not oppose to him getting fired but lets not pretend like Michigan was this elite football program before he got here. They had lost 5+ games in 6 of the previous 7 seasons and Lost 3+ in 17 of the previous 20 seasons. We've been like this for decades aside from a rare couple seasons.
  25. Ironically enough I think the last SP to get pulled with a no hitter in the playoffs was Anibal back in 2013 ALCS.
