  1. Also sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the competition. They had a Heisman favorite who played like a superstar and we didn't.
  2. The big mistake was bringing McCarthy in to start that drive after he fumbled the last time he had the ball. We just got a big stop, had a 3 point lead and really just needed a good steady drive. Instead McCarthy fumbled the handoff and that was the beginning of the end. Also as usual we had to settle for too many FGs. Plus side is we didn't run the ball for crap yet still should've won the game, I think most would've figured we'd get blown out if we couldn't run but Cade played well and Anthony really looked like he could be a legit #1 going forward.
  3. God I hate that 3rd down play in general. It's such a small percentage throw to hit a WR in the back of the end zone like that.
  4. Phew dodged a bullet there on that fumble.
  5. Walker may be at the top of the Heisman boards if MSU comes back to win this. The kid is definitely special.
  6. Hutchinson is a monster, definitely wouldn't mind seeing him in a Lions jersey next season.
  7. Also If I were Michigan I'd watch out for the onside kick at the start of the half, the momentum is clearly going Michigan's way and they have shown that they are having no problem moving the ball so Tucker may feel it's worth a chance to try to catch them off guard.
  8. I'll definitely take a 9 point lead but if feels like Michigan has dominated by even more than that. Got almost a 100 more total yards, +2 in turnovers and I believe haven't punted yet.
  9. Unless they saw another replay that wasn't shown on TV I don't see how they could've reversed that.
  10. Anthony showing that he is deserving of wearing the number 1 jersey!
  11. Walker is a beast, assuming he doesn't suffer an injury he's probably going to be one of the first RBs taken in the draft. His vision and ability to break tackles is really special.
  12. That was like the highest batted ball I have ever seen!
  13. Damn Corrum probably scores on that if he catches it.
  14. Ian Anderson did have a no hitter but that was a bit deceiving. His velo was down, he wasn't getting swings and misses and he was routinely getting to 3 ball counts. I think it was the smart play to remove him cause he looked like he was on the brink of falling apart.
  15. Perfect throw by Cade and Anthony looked like he was shot out of a cannon! TD Michigan!!
  16. Uh Oh Lee Corso just picked Michigan to win, I swear he's the ultimate jinx when it comes to picking teams especially Michigan. Every time he picks them they lose!
  17. I don't understand the hatred for Baez. Yeah his OBP sucks and he Ks alot but he still produces above average offense due to his power and he plays excellent defense. We have some decent obp guys with Candy,Miggy,Grossman, and presumably Tork but what we don't have enough of is guys that will give you 25 plus bombs a year like Baez. I much prefer Seager and Correa but I don't think Baez is a bad consolation prize assuming he comes at a much lower rate than those guys.
  18. We're still gonna suck but atleast this gives us somebody to watch.
  19. Off to a good start in the Paulo Banchero sweepstakes.
  20. Its also the Lions luck that the two times in the past 29 years that they won 11 games all they could muster is a 6 seed. Like the years the Lions are a 9 or 10 win team its never a year that the division is down so they could get lucky and host a playoff game, they always end up having to go on the road and usually in one of the tougher environments or matchups.
  21. I was never into any pregame shows either, before the advent of Twitter I would watch some of the NFL pregame just to see any late scratches or starts just for fantasy purposes but now that is not needed. Ill watch post game stuff though, nice to hear from the players/coaches and highlights from the game.
  22. On a side note to that game, that started the "6-2 Arizona curse" that I made up. Starting with that year I believe its been 3 times the Lions started 6-2 since then and all 3 times they played Arizona the next week, lost then proceeded to struggle the rest of the way in.
  23. Yep remember this game like it was yesterday aswell. This brought us to 6-2 and first in the NFC. Of course we struggled down the stretch and only got a wild card spot, then got destroyed by Washington. Considering Barry retired right before the season and we were terrible the year before it was still a good season.
  24. Judging by some of the comments JV has made the past couple years I get the sense that he really would love to come back here, particularly since we appear to be on the upward swing. Of course it's all gonna come down to money but I think all things being equal he would choose to come here.
