  1. Agree about the first part but not sure about the last sentence, I don't think he has enough sample size to say one way or another how his NFL skills are. Also you have to consider that he only has 2 years left on his rookie deal so any team trading for him really only has 1 year to evaluate and make a decision whether to spend the money to keep him or not.
  2. My Grandpa got cancer when I was 4 and I guess at the time in the mid to late 80s Seattle had one of the best Hospitals for cancer treatment so my family uprooted us and moved out there for 4 years. So even though I know from pictures I went to Tigers Stadium first my earliest memory of going to a baseball game was at the Kingdome.
  3. Jobe #5, Clark 6, McGonigle 28, Rainer 53, Liranzo 82 and Briceno 95 on Pipeline's latest rankings.
  4. Since the Braves were always on TBS back in the 90s I think I watched them more than I did the Tigers then and in his prime Andruw Jones is the best CF I have ever seen. I probably would've voted for him on the first ballot.
  5. Fair enough, I forgot/didn't realize that he was so involved in it.
  6. Carlos Beltran finished with 70% on his 3rd year on the ballot. He has a higher career WAR than Ichiro, higher JAWS score, higher peak 7, higher OPS+, scored more runs, driven in more guys and carried a team in the postseason to the World Series.
  7. Do I think Ichiro should have been unanimous? Sure but I don't think him not getting it is anymore egregious than countless others that didn't. IF you're solely looking at his MLB career you can come up with reasons why you didnt vote for him on the first ballot. He only made the playoffs one time while in his prime, only once finished in the top 7 in MVP voting in his career(his rookie year where he won), didn't hit for power, nor draw a ton of walks and finished with a relatively pedestrian 107 OPS+. Would I hold stuff like that against him? No, not at all but historically there have been voters that critique 1st ballot guys especially harshly and look at any possible setback not to vote for them and in their eyes those things could be possible setbacks. Might not be fair but again there have been better guys that voters didn't vote for their first time.

  9. I have no reason to believe this but just a gut feeling and that's Maeda is gonna bounce back a bit this year. Not to his 2023 levels but maybe be an innings eating league average starter.
  10. I know he's not Ant or Ja but it's funny pre draft people acted like Cade was just incapable of finishing at the rim like this. When he can get a bit of a head of steam and take off with his left leg he is explosive enough to finish above the rim.
  11. I didn't see the game but just looking at the quality of opponent and the fact that judging by the box score Houston really didn't rest any of their best guys is this the best win of the season for the Pistons?
  12. Gonna need some luck too like SF got against us last year with our miscues.
  13. I'm legit stunned by Goff's play. The defense getting torn apart was something I envisioned but I did not expect Goff to completely **** the bed like this.
  14. Defense has been horrible no doubt but I have to give Jayden Daniels his due, just an unreal talent.
  15. Feels like Iffy has missed a lot of tackles and/or been out of place alot since he has been back. Not the same guy that we saw at the end of last season.
  16. Yep, my one complaint about JOhnson is that he does that too often for my liking. It ends up working out alot of the time but still feel like it is a needless risk when you have a running game like the Lions have.
  17. Zeitler's loss was already felt on that first drive....and now Robertson is down. Unbelievable!
  18. Totally random but I just saw a wild stat on my Facebook feed, the most seasons in MLB history by somebody with atleast 1 stolen base without being caught is 10.....by Greg Maddux.
  19. We all saw this coming, shouldn't have dragged teams like the Blue Jays along when you know he had little intention of signing with them. The Dodgers are the best team in baseball, play on the west coast and have Ohtani and Yamamoto on the team, he wasn't going to go anywhere else.
  20. 5/150 would be amount my limit on Bregman, I'd go a higher AAV for less years but don't want to guarantee anything more than 150 or 5 years. If he's fine doing something like 2/70 with a 1 yr opt out I'd be cool with something like that as well.
  21. I always wanted to see somebody like Wemby or Giannis on a fastbreak take off on one leg from the 3 point line and try like a 3pt layup. With their length if they really extended surely they could release it inside 7 or 8 ft.
  22. This is why I say every NBA player of stature has a no trade clause in their contract whether it's official or not. Cause any team that is willing to trade for an All Star caliber player is going to make sure the guy won't sit out and demand a trade when he gets here. Essentially meaning the player can pick and choose where he wants to play whether it's written into the contract or not.
  23. Nope, well we had bins that were marked "blue light special" but didn't have the old school light pole with siren that would randomly go off.
  24. I worked at my Step Dad's auto shop when I was like 12-15 but my first "real" job was as a cashier at Kmart when I was 16 back in 1998. I remember they hired a few of us at the same time, all 3 of us were 1st time employees in the real world but since I wrote the experience I had at my Step Dad's shop the HR dude that hired us said he'd give me 6 bucks an hour unlike the 5.50 they were giving other new employees. THe only time in my life an employer offered me more money than I was expecting to receive. lol
