    Because they don’t have to pay Will Anderson $40 million a year yet. Why sign Hunter when they could have just kept Greenard?

    Almost all the teams connected with Blough worked with him before so they knew him.

    I wonder about Holmes. The Lions story is they knew he was their guy before they interviewed him, but do they even look his away if he was white? Holmes was not on anyone’s radar. I think only one other team interviewed him.

    Mike McDaniel is the exception to the norm. Not going to base the quality of the rule because one biracial guy who looks white is considered black. Someone like Tee Martin probably doesn’t get an interview. While it’s unlikely he gets hired, if he impressed word gets around. The Rooney rule gave him that opportunity.

    Between Campbell, Sheppard, Fipp and McDaniel, the Lions would certainly have the most interesting press conferences in the league.

    Brad Holmes has acquired a lot of talent. More than the Packers. It’s like people think that Holmes drafting players doesn’t count.

    Did Washington interview a black candidate? They promoted Blough pretty fast. Does it apply for promotions?

    I believe the Rooney rule forces them to interview a candidate outside the organization. Teams used to get around it by doing token interviews with their own staff.

    Lamar and Henry may be nearing the end, but the Ravens are a well run organization so I would be confident in my future with them. They stuck with Harbaugh for 18 years so they don't just fire coaches randomly.

    Raiders do have the #1 pick and can get a QB. The Browns head coach still has to deal with Watson and the circus that is Sanders.

    Atlanta is hiring a new GM too, so I don't think the coach is tied to Penix. The Miami job may be the worst one. You have an albatross in Tua, a bad cap situation, Hill is probably done, and not a whole lot left. That is a complete gut job. It could've reminds me of the Lions circa 2021 but they don't have an asset like Stafford to trade.
