I should also mention I was up north when doing Meals on Wheels in the heart of what is now trump country. Lots of seniors used Meals on Wheels there. A lot of them where off the beaten path. This effects red rural areas.

Meals on Wheels is more than just hot meals. It was a chance for someone to visit seniors and check on their health and safety. There were occasions I had to have an ambulance come. I had one guy with a nasty infection in his eye, another who was having a pulmonary embolism, and another who was past the point of being able to live without supervision.

I delivered for Meals on Wheels circa 2010 when I was out of work. It was basically all old people who could barely make it to the door. It was also for some their only contact to the outside world. I had to do amateur health checks and report any health issue I may see.

Benson has already thrown her hat into the Governor's race. I think Karen McDonald should run for attorney general. The top candidates off the top of my head would be Whitmer, Buttigieg and Haley Stevens.

If not Whitmer, Buttigieg could make a run. If he has presidential aspirations, he needs to show he can win an election other than mayor of South Bend.

I was at that Kroger once. There was a bank in their and I was interviewing about 13-14 years ago for a district manager job that would cover the west side.
