  1. Leftist would say it and it gets attached to candidates like Harris and Biden, and if Harris and Biden don't parrot it, they are just Republicans. It's like Defund the Police and Abolish ICE. I have to imagine these things were made up by Republicans.
  2. The cap has gone up so we will have to see what other LBs get. Shephard is the coordinator now and coached Barnes since he was drafted so they would be better off staying in house.
  3. Because lowering the cost of housing is bad?
  4. She ran on bringing down housing costs. She had a plan to provide down payment assistance and build millions of new housing. She ran on expanding Medicaid to cover the sandwich generation. She also ran on holding price gougers accountable. She didn't just run on not Trump.
  5. he's a good run defender and Anzalone isn't getting younger. They also released Reeves-Maybin and I'm not sure when Rodriguez will be back, so they needed depth. It's more than I expected but I'm not upset.
  6. Recall how Biden got shredded for the mere suggestion that inflation was coming down.
  7. Another player the Lions should target is Calais Campbell. I know he's old, but he's still productive and could fill in while we wait for McNeil to get healthy.
  8. Look at Jacksonville. It's a bloodbath right now. It seems like we are going through this every year. This Lions staff has built a team that has progressed every year from 3 wins to 15. They had a team that was on the verge of doing something historic before injuries caught up with them. There is no need to chase shiny objects.
  9. And then they get Trump. If they don't want to participate, then they get everything coming to them.
  10. Yes? Biden moved to the left and lost due in large part because the left abandoned him. If the far left wanted to move the party to the left, they should have voted for more Democrats. I said he should have never tried to appease the far left, because at the end of the day, doing things like canceling student debt proved to be unpopular and the left said it wasn't good enough.
  11. The reason he wants to leave the Bengals is because he wants a big contract. I'm not sure trading for him and not giving him a contract is ideal. The Lions have an elite pass rusher. They need a good #2. The also have Za'Darius Smith who at this point in his career is still a good rotational pass rusher. Someone like Bosa on a short term contract while they draft a pass rusher makes sense.
  12. Boom boom bossman.
  13. There's literal groups that fancy themself as being the far left that make it known what they want such as the DSA and Justice Democrats. Sitting congressman belong to these groups. They run active campaigns against normal Democrats.
  14. I was working off the example provided of someone who didn't think either candidate was doing enough for climate so what should they do. The answer would be to vote for the guy who did the most for climate. Certainly the right didn't want student loan debt canceled. It wasn't the right that wanted caps on prescription drugs. It wasn't the right that wanted Medicare to negotiate drug prices. It wasn't the right that wanted to reschedule marijuana. It wasn't the right that wanted funding for green energy. It wasn't the right that wanted to pull out of Afghanistan (or maybe they did). It wasn't the right that wanted historic funding for HBCUs.
  15. Yes. You keep proving my point. Joe Biden courted the far left and they abandoned him. If the far left didn't abandon him, the country would be moving to the left. Leftists have this weird idea that by losing elections we will move left. Democrats are going to stop chasing that voter and move to the right to get voters who vote.
  16. They want to mate with the ethnically pure Canadians like the Germans did with the Norwegians. A modern day Lebensborn program.
  17. Moskowitz surprises me. That seems like the type of thing he would do.
  18. Yes. Exactly like Joe Biden. No president had been as far to the left as Biden since Johnson. He wanted to go even farther left but was hamstrung by a senate that included Manchin and Sinema. Vote for more senators to cancel out Manchin, the agenda moves farther left, and the next president runs to the left of Biden. instead, they yelled nothing was good enough and lost their minds over Gaza. The result is the most right wing presidency in history.
  19. The media climate is much worse now than during Johnson. Misinformation is so rampant that a lot of what happened in Gaza was exaggerated or straight up not true. You didn't have Fox news, podcasts, or social media in the 60's that were run amok with conspiracies, foreign influence, and straight up inaccurate information.
  20. We've seen this play out. Johnson passes the Civil Rights Act, southern whites (or white working class as we call them today) flip out and go Republican. The far left is enraged about a conflict overseas and protests. Johnson becomes unpopular and drops out. Corrupt Republican wins. Rinse/repeat. Biden's economic policies helped people of color, white people got angry, the far left lost their mind over Gaza, Biden is forced to drop out, corrupt Republican wins.
  21. Biden's middle out economic policy angered billionaires to the point where the Tech Bros took over the country and used that fat bastard as a vessel.
