  1. As you can see in the chart, Goff’s cap number went up next year and subsequent years, plus a void year was added. For better or worse, the Lions are married to Goff. This was the issue with the Saints. They anchored themselves to players past their prime and were mediocre for years.
  2. Are we closing the door on Decker? What if Decker tests the market and realizes he's not worth as much as he thought?
  3. It's also possible it's something minor and the Ravens had cold feet on the trade and used that as an excuse. The Raiders statement seemed like they were none too pleased with the Ravens.
  4. The Raiders had a lot of cap space even with Crosby. My guess is some of the signings won't be official right away while the maneuver the cap. If Crosby's injury is that serious, the contract is an albatross. His 2027 salary is guaranteed for injury only so that will vest.
  5. There is no buy low on Crosby. His contract is massive. The Lions wouldn't even trade a 7th round pick for him.
  6. I'm glad for once the rug pulled out from under a different fan base who thought they were getting a Pro Bowl player.
  7. I'm guessing a failed physical.
  8. This can turn free agency upside down. The Raiders probably signed a lot of players thinking they had Crosby off the books.
  9. Pacheco had only two fewer broken tackles than Montgomery in fewer carries. I think he’s fine as an RB2
  10. Terrion Arnold was drafting for need.
  11. I haven’t seen our friend Melifonwu sign anywhere. Could be good safety depth.
  12. Keep in my the Lions have seven day three picks. They will likely draft a back.
  13. Montgomery was a luxury. When he signed, Jamaal Williams was a free agent and we had Swift. Swift struggled with injuries and hadn’t proven to be a number one yet. Gibbs is the number one and one of the three best backs in the league. This isn’t a 1A/1B situation anymore. This is clearly RB2.
  14. Remember, Raymond and Anzalone were these day two/three bargain pickups that went on to have good careers with the Lions. They don’t have to break the bank on top free agents.
