If someone caught up to him its pretty good evidence that he was being chased. Even after he was able to get up he continued to go for help. If people are trying to disarm someone that is legally carrying a firearm, and doing nothing wrong, thats more reason for self defense. If they got his gun they probably would have shot him. A jury has already found him not guilty of all charges. He did nothing wrong. The people that need to face charges are the ones that were rioting and burning down the town. Why aren't you condemning them?

For me the MLB HOF doesn't mean much. When great players are excluded because they might not be good people is rediculous. Being in the HOF is all about accomplishments on the field and not about a players political views or how many old ladies they helped cross the street. Pete Rose is one of greatest to play the game and should be in the HOF. He may have gambled but he bet on himself not against himself where he could rig a game. Bonds and Clemens used steroids. So what? Other players in HOF did too and athletes for generations have used things they thought would increase their performance but were not as obvious as steroids. Maybe it's time someone else votes on the HOF instead of the press?

There would be a lot less race problems if politicians and the media would stop exploiting it. There are certain groups that continue to push racism because they feel it gives them power and other people make a lot of money from it. I don't look at people by race like you do. I look at us all as Americans. Liberals like to divide and separate by race. I suppose they can't get too far from their roots in racism.

CBS did not make a factual statement. It was a flat out lie that he took the gun with him. It doesn't matter if he had the gun with him or not because it wasn't illegal. The issue is CBS knowing full well it wasn't true and they push false information to try to push their agenda and inflame the situation. Its just one of many things the so called media does to cause problems in this country. All of us would be better off and we would have a lot less problems if the news media would report the facts, no matter what they are. Blowing up situations with half truths and false information hurts us all. Also some of you have mention that some of the media calls him a hero. The liberal media labels him a criminal. I don't think he's neither and should be treated as such. He should just blend back into society and go about trying to live a normal life. Maybe he will after his celebrity status no longer makes money.

Absolutely, but when you have media like CBS who said once again yesterday that Rittenhouse broght his gun accross state lines is just inflaming the situation.

Everyone should be allowed their feelings and opinions but should be allowed to have the whole story and the truth too. Its hard to get that these days from the media.

So much for Wisconsin getting out of the crime and drama spotlight. The guy that drove through the parade has several felony charges pending and was allowed to walk on $1k bail. Apparently he drove through the parade running from another crime he had just committed. In Wisconsin they don't have a no bail option so hopefully they will set it a little higher this time since he's being charged with several more crimes including five murders.

Feel free to look up your state laws on the internet. Laws are different in each state.

You missed a great opportunity. You should have taken the time to explain the law and self defense. No wonder people are scared when they are uninformed. Everyone acts like Rittenhouse was the first person to ever use lethal force to defend themselves. Its been happening forever and is more common than the uninformed folks are aware of.

Yeah, its pretty much a dream but I think if the Republicans want to win they need to figure it out. Hillary had a pretty loyal following with some folks, same wth Bernie. I think Trump has a group of followers but it might not be as big as you think. A lot of us like things he did and stood for but didn't like him.

I agree that running is the best and should always be the first option. Unfortunately its not always a choice. I've never had my life in danger so I can't say what is like. I assume all of us would try to do whatever we could and use any possible weapon to fight back. The rest is in response to other comments but not Buddhas: As far as race goes there was a black guy found not guilty the same day or next day as Rittenhouse but in another state. I don't have his name but I think it was posted in this thread. The circumstances of his case were similar. When looking at the facts of the Rittenhouse case, race played no part of it. Enough with the state lines already. He has a lot of family in Kenosha including his father. He didn't cross state lines to commit a crime because he didn't commit one.

In some ways its similar to Hillary running in 2016. I think the majority of democrats didn't want her on the ticket but the party either did or felt she was the only chance. The republican party needs to work with Trump to bring his voters in but they need a better candidate. As I've said before, if Trump would back a well spoken and sane candidate that stood for most of his policies it would be hard to beat them in the next election.

The conservative leaning media needs to stop pushing Trump and focus on the othere possible candididates. Just beforeecause there is a group that wants Trump back there are more that want someone else. The RNC should also be pushing this because they need a unified group in the next election and get back the ones that left because of Trump.

We've already agreed that none of them should have been there but they were and well within their legal right to be there. Since you are dodging the question does that mean you wouldn't defend yourself if you're being attacked?
