I just wondered. No offense intended and I apologize if you took it that way.

Obama did better on the border than Biden and Trump did better than both of them. So far Biden has been a failure in everything. I take no pride in that because if he fails then we fail as a country. We are failing. As I mentioned in another post, I hope the elections this week will be a wake up call. Spending trillion plus dollars on "human" infrastructure is a joke. What the heck is human infrastructure anyway? Its just another deception of the American people. Then there is a faction of them that want to end the filibuster and change election laws so they can rig the system. Hopefully someone in that group can right the ship and come to their senses. If you live in Canada why would care about our border? You don't have to deal with these people or have them dumped in your area in the middle of the night. Are you an American Citizen?

Biden said not to worry about the cost. In his whispering voice he said it didn't cost anything. It will be free.

Obama admin built the cages. It was continued under Trump admin.
-
That's one of the few good things Obama did. You can't roll out the red carpet like the current administration has done or there will be over 2 million legal invaders coming in like we have this year.

Why couldn't they transform the RenCen into the statue? Isn't it tall enough?

I look at the Republicans as a group that wants to help people that are willing to get jobs and help themselves. Democrats want to help people that want to sit on the couch. Republicans are no more for the rich than the dems are and the rich folks are paying both of them off. One big difference is that dems want to tax business a lot and republicans don't. Tax breaks for business is a necessary evil. If they don't get tax breaks they will go where they can get lower taxes. That could be another city, another state or another country and the jobs with them. Democrats haven't figured that out.

I would need 20+ kids to go through 12 gallons of milk a week. That's a lot of milk.

If the other countries were so concerned they could have shipped these people from Mexico to their country. In the US we have laws that include how non-citzens are to enter the country. These laws are in place for a reason and should be followed. I and other American citizen pay taxes. Although I don't have a say in it I don't want my money going to other countries or their citizens for aid until every American is taken care of first. I also don't care what any other country thinks of us. We are the greatest country in the world with the greatest fighting forces. These other countries only want our money and our services. Did other countries have issue with Canada when they closed the border to the US? How inhumane it was to let us die of covid in the US!

Did you ever hear Trump say he didn't have the best, the greatest or the bigliest?😀 That is until something went wrong and he passed the blame pretty quick. I never watched the apprentice but I think the catch phrase "You're Fired" came from his personal experience. He was quick to fire people. If you surround yourself with good people you would rarely have to fire anyone. Trump had a problem, at least while POTUS, to surround himself with good people. Some were but not many.
-
I agree he understands the issues but his decision making might be impaired some. Every POTUS has has several people providing info to help them make decision but in the end the final decision is ultimately the Presidents. I don't know if that is true with Biden. The decision might be more of a committee but we probably wont know until well after he's out of office. After the election some people thought Harris would be making the decisions but she seems to be away from it. Some days Biden looks like he's in the game and other days not so much. From my experience that is typical with dementia until it gets bad.
-
I'm refering to his press conferences or when he's in public. He's said several times he's not allowed to take questions or says he's supposed to call on certain people. I didn't mean to do anything unlawful nor would I expect him to.

All schools are different. I don't think CRT is in many schools yet but some are trying to get it in. CRT isn't something new as it's been around for a while. Fortunately all my kids are grown and not in school anymore. Our small podunk district is one that's had a lot of issues with this. I haven't followed it real close but I know they hired someone to "Racial Inequity" position. Then there was an email from someone on the school board asking how to introduce CRT into the curriculum which resulted in heated board meetings where the board denied everything. So its out there and being considered in some places. I hate racism and think if they truely wanted to make it go away they would stop stoking the fires of racism. There's too many people making money off it to let it go away. It will never go away completely because some people of all races will never change.

I don't know if Biden is able to be involved. His cognitive ability isn't 100% and someone else seems to be running the show in the background. When he publically says he isn't allowed to do something its obvious. I also don't think its an implosion or even a sign of the future. It might be a wake up call. Obviously there are some major problems right now and unhappy people. If the dems can figure out how to fix things soon the mid terms might not be all bad for them. I think it would help if they were more moderate and could swallow their pride occasionally and say what the previous administration was doing on certain issues like the border weren't all bad. They need to do what's right for the country and its citizens instead of some progressive wish list. As much as I want to blame them, Its not all the democrats fault either. Both sides need to work together which they've been incapable of doing for a decade. Unfortunately I don't see that changing anytime soon.

The more I hear about Barnhart the more I like this deal especially with few catchers available. Tigers didn't give up much to get him and it only a one year deal if it doesn't work. Now on to pitching help. I know they wouldn't be looked at as starters but I wonder if Tigers would sign Daniel Norris or Shane Greene to minor deals or give nonroster ST invites? I don't know about Norris but Greene might have some value. Missing ST last year hurt his whole season.
-
I think Barnhart will be the starting or main catcher at least to start the season. He is a better defensive player and has won a gold glove. Haase will get some time at catcher and probably some in the outfield. I think Hinch likes Haase so he will get an opportunity. Who knows what will happen as the season goes on.
-
ESPN must think they know what FA the Tigers will sign. The team could look a lot different in the spring with FA signings and if Tork or Greene make the team.

I thought there was another abortion issue coming before the SCOTUS that's a bigger deal than the Texas one. The Texas issue was heard on emergency request if I recall correctly.

I don't know the agreement and I doubt you do either. I really don't beleive there was a plan in place to leave equipment behind. From whats been said it sounds like in the agreement with the Taliban is they basically had to behave or we would be back. The problem with the withdrawal is the Biden Administration let the Taliban dictate the terms when they got to Kabul. The US is the biggest badasses on the block and sometimes we have to act like it instead of being led around by terrorists because we don't want to anger or offend them.
-
At least Bernie or Warren would have been running the country and been in charge. Biden seems to be asleep at the wheel while someone else is making decisions behind the scenes.
-
I think the recall was more about the almost endless shutdown. Every place was reopening except for CA that stayed in Lockdown.
-
I really think Biden and his people created most of their own problems instead of being set up to fail. Some things deteriorated rapidly when he signed exec orders on Jan 20. Especially the border which was finally under control until he blew it up. Afghanastan withdrawal was another fiasco on their part when they let the Taliban control things. Other issues like the supply chain probably aren't his fault directly but its on them to get it fixed and they're not doing too good at it.

I hope this shows the Republicans they need someone with ideas similar to Trump that's not Trump....or DeSantis. Youngkin ran a good campaign and didn't push away Trump supporters or the anti-Trump crowd. Thats what the Republicans need to win the WH.

That was when people could afford to come to a game and sit in a decent seat. I remember when they moved to Comerica they interviewed some local folks that had season box seats for years. They stopped going to games because they couldn't afford them anymore.

I can't see the Tigers not only spending that much but doing a deal that long. A contract like that puts them in the drunken sailor range.
