There’s a decent chance that pick 17 comes around and the best player on their board is Penn State G Vega Ioane. He’s being touted as one of the best G prospects in a number of years. Plays both run and pass very well. I like the idea of plugging him in next to Sewell at LG, Mays at C, Ratledge at RG. That’s a great young line and you can have Borom hold it down at RT for a year. That’s a huge, huge improvement and created great depth with Mahogany, Frazier, Scruggs, and Sorsdal.

They should fire McLellan tomorrow. It’s not his fault but you can’t fire the players (or the GM).

LA drafted him while he was in college at Minnesota and traded him before he ever played in the NHL. Trade was Faber and a 1st round pick for Kevin Fiala. Minnesota used that pick to take Liam Ohgren, who was a piece in the recent Quinn Hughes trade.

STL used 25 outs to the Tigers 24. They had more chances than the Tigers. They didn’t get cheated. -
I kind of got it. My answer was that guy Cleveland drafted that totally sucked. Couldn’t remember his name.

If the Eagles can get back to another Super Bowl those issues will be well worth it.

As I think about this more, I wonder what would’ve happened had they let Frank keep his bonus after recouping from Barry and Calvin. I can see a giant racial issue being created even though that wouldn’t have been the reason for letting Frank keep it. To avoid a media firestorm it may have come down to either recouping from Frank or finding a way to pay back Barry and Calvin. The former being much simpler. The Lions are in their financial glory days. The franchise has never made more money on their own while at the same time the league is churning it out for everyone. I still think it would’ve been in their best interests and a great PR move to pay all the money back but I get it.

I don’t see any possibility of a full house cleaning. That’s just not Chris. Three likely options are: 1) No change - stay the course with Stevie 2) Horcoff takes over for Stevie 3) Draper takes over for Stevie Faced with these choices keeping him on for another season is probably the soundest.

Circumstances are different. The 49ers asked a guy who quit after playing one year in the league who was freaked out over concussions (even though he never got one in the NFL). The Dolphins asked Ricky Williams to repay when he decided he wanted to smoke weed more than he wanted to play. These are not the same situation as doing it to veteran franchise stalwarts like Barry, Calvin, and Frank.

True but if other companies in your industry choose not to claw back and you’re the only on that decides to do it, that can become an issue competing for talent.

Not a good look at all. This doesn’t seem to be something that other teams do in this situation.
