  1. Very confused at why AJ let Parker hit vs lefty with 2 out there. That’s a perfect Jones or Andy situation.
  2. I want them to win today but I’m not going to be upset if they lose. Without going full TP, I’m pretty much done with this team and their infuriating approach at the plate.
  3. Not a surprise as yesterday’s 1st base ump that called every questionable check swing a strike is behind the plate today. Just hope he calls it both ways
  4. Agree in 2026. Don’t think it’s off the table in seasons following. Part of that will depend on what they get back in Skubal deal.
  5. May this day be forever remembered in Tigers lore as The Jack Flaherty Game.
  6. I don’t agree with that. If they trade him this offseason, there will be at least one team in the NL who would do it for the long term. They would most likely have parameters of a deal worked out with Boras before consummating any trade with the Tigers. If they were to wait until the deadline then yes the possibility exists of a rental deal that allows Skubal to hit the market and choose at the end of 2026. Another reason for the Tigers to move him this offseason.
  7. I don’t think it’s possible for the Tigers to re-sign Skubal. Scott Boras wants him to hit the open market. It’s good for his business. The Tigers have no choice but to trade him next year. They need to have some control over his destination and send him to the NL. They can’t afford to let him walk for a compensatory pick and then sign with the Yankees, Red Sox, or Blue Jays. It would be disastrous losing him to a team that you have to face in a short playoff series.
  8. Forget who was batting. I’m wondering why AJ didn’t elect to bunt in the run with either Greene or Jones. Seems like that would’ve been a viable option in the 7th.
  9. Would love to understand his reasoning going to Melton in that situation over Kahnle or Montero.
  10. Seems like a waste for Vogt to go to lefty to matchup with Meadows. A position player could probably get him out at this point.
  11. Sean McDonough isn’t pro anyone. He’s just an idiot.
  12. Not sure how I’m going to do this again tomorrow. I’m definitely not going to be able to handle another tie game in the 8th or 9th in a do or die situation.
  13. Is it too much to ask the baseball gods for another example of sometimes in life you don’t always get what you deserve.
  14. That was such a huge miss by the ump.
  15. IMHO, You need to look at this situation where a single run is most likely the difference in the ballgame. Whether it’s the 9th inning or not. It’s been that way with most of these games with Cleveland. I think you have to play it like a one run game. That being considered, the risk didnt outweigh the reward. They completely changed their philosophy on sacrifice yesterday and it paid off because the situation called for it. I think the same should’ve been true today as the situation called for it.
  16. Easy rule is if it’s not a hockey game and Sean McDonough agrees vehemently about something the opposite answer is almost always correct. Looked like a terrible slide and the tag glanced him on the helmet before the other hand touched the bag.
  17. I never again want to hear Dan or Jason talk about how McKinstry is one of the best baserunners in MLB.
  18. Gleyber and Riley are going yard today. I’m talking it into existence!
  19. Paycor is going to be Ford Field South on Sunday. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the largest number of Lions fans at a road game ever.
  20. We now have the unique opportunity to blow both the biggest division lead and wild card series lead in the same season. Let’s not ****ing go!!!
  21. Let’s hope this bottom of the ninth is a positive example of sometimes in life you don’t always get what you deserve.
  22. Doesn’t matter who but at least half the lineup has to figure out how to put quality AB’s up against Williams and Bibee. Got to make those two work harder than they had to the past 4 times.
  23. Resilient comeback by Team USA. There are always decisions that can be second guessed like playing Morikawa/English twice despite analytics saying it was their worst possible pairing of 132 total possibilities. End of day, you can’t expect to win when your best player goes in all 5 matches and only scores 1 point. Amazing effort to make it that close really.
  24. Tough time to hit your first batter of your career. Even tougher way for Bochy to lose maybe his last game ever. He didn’t need to walk the bases loaded with 2 out but got overly cautious and made a managerial decision that ended the game.
