They are starting to take on water quickly. That -24 goal differential is ugly. I think everyone agrees he’s a placeholder under they can compete for the playoffs, which should be next year, but there is an outside shot at this season if they can right the ship quickly. A new man at top may be the adrenaline fix these guys in the hunt for the last spot.

I think they beat Buffalo on Saturday so it will be moot.
Either way the guy is a stiff. Should be coaching college, which is where I think he ends up once he’s done and never gets another NHL job.
I’ve already shared my issues with PFF rankings but these are just dumb. Seriously, how much value can you put in a ranking of all NFL rookies that doesn’t have Micah Parsons at #1. Their rankings are essentially clickbait at this point.
Also one of the greatest high school athletes of all time. He predated internet recruiting sites but he was arguably #1 in the nation in football and basketball as a Senior.
Future power in the division will come down to who finds the top tier QB first. The Bears have taken first shot with Fields and we will see where that goes. He could be the one. I’d put them ahead of the Lions in their rebuild at the moment but that could very, very easily change if Fields isn’t a guy. I don’t out any value in Love. I could be very wrong but don’t think he’s their guy and they will be back in the hunt in a few years.
Black Monday is here and no deal yet with Harbaugh. No matter what happens, it shouldn’t have come to this for UM.
Now another curveball comes into the mix as the Dolphins have fired their coach. I wonder which one of his football teams the benefactor would like Jim to coach.
This would be great for the Lions. They would move up draft spots in the later rounds when the NFL takes away multiple picks from both teams for making a mockery of the game.
Adding to this point a number of guys stepped up and made an impact that had been quiet earlier in the year. I’d put St Brown, Raymond, Josh Reynolds, Reeves-Maybin, Netflix Reynolds, Bryant, Melafonfu, and even Goff in this group.
Normally I’d be SOL for winning a meaningless game to cost a draft spot but as others.said there is no top player in this draft. I also agree there’s a real chance that Jax does take Evan Neal which would leave the Lions with the same choice as if they were #1.
I actually think he ends up staying. I’m not sure if he will agree in the next 48 hours and not talk to NFL teams or if he will talk and then choose to go back to UM. At this point, it would be a stronger message to recruits and the fanbase if he did talk to the NFL next week and then pulled a Wolf of Wall Street and pumped everyone up by spurning them to stay. Again though, none of this dance needed to happen if UM had better athletics leadership in place.
