Two terribly inconsistent teams trying to turn the corner in their rebuild. Should be fun. AA is close to coming back from injury but isn’t set to go tonight. Wings fans should see Martin Frk, who has had a great season in the AHL, and has just been called up. He probably will play on the top line replacing Alex Iafallo who is in Covid protocol.

I don’t think Trump really wants to be President again as much as he wants to see how much in campaign money he can siphon into his and his friends pockets from the red hat morons . He made billions the first time through and they were all figuring it out as they went. This time they have experience and he can really get his grift on. I don't think 11 figures is out of the realm for what they can make off the 2024 election.

I’m not sure this is how it will play out I think there’s a real unintended side effect of NiL that can cause huge problems for how athletics operate in the world of academia. it’s no secret that many faculty and high level administrators aren’t fond of sports being the main marketing vehicles of their schools. The thought is that it minimizes the academic reputation when the general population thinks of football instead of academics when they hear the name of a particular school. Academics view athletics as a necessary evil as an opportunity to help them raise money for their general fund. Nothing better than a good football team to engage your richest alums. Schools are fine with athletics doing their own direct fundraising to pay for what they need to function on their own without tapping the university funds. There’s a pending problem if these big donors can go directly to the athlete without paying off the university too. We may see a changing attitude from university presidents and trustees if sports starts taking money from their educational and construction fundraising instead of adding to it.

I felt the same exact way but somewhere along the line Apple made some improvements. It’s still not perfect but way better than I remembered it.

I don’t use Alexa or Siri but I speak out most all of my texts and even post on the site like this one. The speech to text feature on the iPhone has gotten really good.

This had been my entire point. It’s not that I think he’s going anywhere else but why has this taken so long. The Ohio St. game was 41 days ago. That’s plenty of time for UM to get numbers worked out for him. In this ridiculous coaching landscape, there’s no reason to wait that long. Much bigger deals at other schools happened quicker this off-season. All this has done has create uneasiness and instability. The timetable makes no sense to me unless Harbaugh is the one the is slow playing things to see what NFL opportunities pop up or if UM doesn’t really care if he stays or goes like Notre Dame chose with Kelly but I don’t really think thats the case here.

I view Tucker Carlson as an actor playing a role on a TV show. If a liberal based show would pay him twice as much then he’d flip his script in a heartbeat and reinvent himself as a new character.

It’s early but Treylon Burks is my top WR.
-
He’s a top 10 safety so why not. I’d probably want him over Walker but I’m good with whatever Brad wants to do. His signings the past year have earned good trust with me.

I think they will too but just don’t get why they wouldn’t do it before the NFL jobs come open. Maybe they like Harbaugh but think Gattis is something special and is a better long term fit to lead the program. They know he’s most likely getting a HC gig next year so rather than risk losing him, they make him the head coach now and let Harbaugh walk. It could be argued that Gattis would be harder to replace in the short term than Harbaugh.

I am not so sure if I believe that he doesn’t have an agent. He made the comment in passing a few years ago and I don’t think anyone bothered to follow up on it or not. I know David Dunn represented him in the past. Either way, none of this makes any sense to me why UM won’t pay him the money. He was on a prove it deal and he proved it.
-
It’s not up to him to ask for a raise. It’s up to UM to ensure that he is paid close to his market value. As long as he’s this far below his market, there will be these type of rumors and probably some very real overtures made by others. He is a different cat, that’s for sure. We both agree on that. I don’t think the actual dollars mean squat to him but I think the respect for the job he does and competitive nature between other coaches matters to him. The guy is a super competitor and tries to win everything. Forget the Brian Kelly and Lincoln Riley contacts, you don’t think it gnaws at him that guys like Tucker and Fleck have one good season and don’t even win the B10 and get huge extensions and now make more than double what he does.
-
Harbaugh is one of the lowest paid coaches in the B10. I think he’s around 35th nationally. Instead of accusing the media maybe people should be asking where the contract extension is that he earned and should be getting? Not sure what the hold up is on this but it’s a big mistake by Warde Manuel if he lets Black Monday hit without a new deal for Harbaugh. Every big money booster was together last week in the stadium of the biggest booster. As for why, Jim is 58. Head coaches in the league are now trending younger and younger. If he does have any desire of giving the NFL another shot the opportunity may not come around like this when he’s in his 60’s.
-
The league would go ballistic. The Raiders and Chargers would both get the largest fines in the history of the NFL and probably also lose draft picks.

The Jags beating the Colts Is unlikely but possible. The bitter rivals Chargers and Raiders agreeing to tie is not.

I don’t know the answer but I can see what both GB and the Lions saw in him. He looks comfortable in the pocket and doesn’t have happy feet. He’s got a good arm when he sets his feet. The problems start when he faces any kind of pressure and some of the poor decisions you see from a backup. The game hasn’t slowed down for him yet.
-
I’d love to be a fly on the wall to hear Aaron Glenn’s answer when he gets asked about this game in all of those head coaching interviews that he’s going to get.
-
Not a good effort today. Similar to how they played in the Bengals game.

Actually, I read that he doesn’t believe in hamstrings or any of the commonly accepted skeletal structure that doctors want us to believe is our human anatomy.
