  1. Kwesi is the new Quinn
  2. Nah. In fact it proves my point more. They were always taking a WR. They didn’t find the need to go up and get one in the first round even though they could have.
  3. 2nd round. Completely different. Will be interesting to compare the development of Watson vs. Williams.
  4. You don’t know that
  5. Enough about perceived value of WR being more important than defense. Packers and Chiefs are two franchises that are infinitely better than the Lions. They both had 2 first rounders and probably a bigger need at WR than the Lions. Not only did neither trade up like the Lions for WR but they didn’t even take one at all and ended up using all 4 picks on defense.
  6. As for being juvenile, What else would you expect from someone who has a Vonnagut asshole as my avatar.
  7. Nah. I was trolling MB with that Cephus comment but it’s way more than just the 66th pick. Moving from 34 to 46 is a big move too and I thought Williams was a luxury they didn’t need to take a risk on at that spot.
  8. Chark ran a 4.34. He also has all of his original knee ligaments intact.
  9. Steelers WR Dionte Johnson and Redskins RB Antonio Gibson were both taken at 66. Two pretty good players
  10. That Goff doesn’t exist anymore except in your memories.
  11. Different circumstance with a unique player and opportunity to get him in his prime that you only get once.
  12. And don’t forget they still have Cephus!
  13. Is a high end speed WRreally a big deal when Jared Goff is your QB? I don’t think so but you know what they signed Chark so we will see that on a smaller scale that maybe it does make a big difference in the offense and they can go this route next year.
  14. If you are looking at the just the picks and not the big picture then it’s a great draft. I don’t hate the picks either They got two good players. I’d have gone another direction instead of Willams
  15. He’s not one of the best WR in the game. He’s a weed dealer now.
  16. Many of the best WR in the game were drafted outside of the first round. The Lions last 2 Great WR drafted were 3rd and 4th rounders. It was a luxury pick that high for a team not in the best position to do so.
  17. I don’t know any of these people.
  18. Linebacker, linebacker, safety, another cb. They signed DJ Chark to fill the exact role you described. We also don’t know if Amon-Ra could play outside full time but I bet he could if they chose to use him that way. Williams is great for down the road but they aren’t there yet. Especially with Jared Goff at QB. This team is still 2 years away from being good at a minimum.
  19. This draft reminds of when my wife bought the ridiculous Dyson vacuum because it was on sale for $100 off. The thing still cost $450. She insisted it was a great deal. We could’ve bought so many other things that we needed which were more important for our house with that money but she got distracted by the great deal and the shiny new object. Side note in what In may be a good sign for the Lions, turns out the Dyson is amazing and works a million times better than our previous vacuum. I’m not sure it’s worth the price but the outrageous purchase definitely grew on me.
  20. Hopefully Jamison will be better than the other two Williams WR the Lions drafted on the 1st round.
  21. His cognitive abilities are declining fast.
  22. Chark won’t mind because this is the business of the NFL. Things change. He had other options and chose the Lions as team without speed WR to showcase himself for a year and try the market again in 2023.
  23. I don’t believe for a second that Williams was disappointed to picked by the Lions. Dude was still limping on the stage just a few months from major knee surgery. He had to be ecstatic that he was still picked high. DJ Chark is the one that may not be so happy the Lions picked Williams but that’s the business of the NFL
