  1. Seriously folks, I apologize for mocking him as 'not as good of a crook' as someone else, which obviously means that he's not the anti-christ and therefore he should be our next president.
  2. I'm still not sure what you're saying. Are you not allowed to point out they are crooks because if you do, that means you want slavery back? What the vast majority of protesters wanted them to be, I can get behind that, which is why I don't have a problem with people saying 'black lives matter'. But again, the organization itself was a self proclaimed pro-marxist organization that took the high profile deaths of some black people and used that to line their pockets. Just like Trump, they found a way to pull money from other people's pockets which is all my original post joked about.
  3. Not sure what you're getting at. In short, the founders of it are crooks. Plain and simple. What you want to believe BLM stands for, that's all up to you.
  4. I need to remember that most of you folks don't ever see any news that doesn't fit a certain narrative that most MSM outlets choose to put out. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2022/04/black-lives-matter-6-million-dollar-house.html
  5. He just hates BLM because they are better crooks than he is.
  6. I took my daughter to see AJR last night. I know their songs and like them, but couldn't name them for the most part. It's the go-to music in our house when we're all cleaning and the kids are fighting about what to listen to. I walked away quite a fan. Very impressive show.
  7. For people that truly believe abortion is taking the life of a baby, it's not that much of a deflection. That said, funny how the only way to deal with abortion is to make it next to impossible to get one, even if a mother's doctor believes it could kill her. Yet when it's 9-10 year old's lying in a pool of their own blood, there is simply nothing we can do.
  8. Well first, reread what I was responding to and what I added. I didn't say the answer is more guns and say mental health is the issue as I work to cut funding to more mental health programs like most of the GOP does. What I'm saying is in addition to some common sense gun laws, we absolutely should address mental health as well. It is a real problem, healthy people don't just shoot up schools or events just because they realized they have easy access to guns. We're also not getting rid of all the guns here, even if some of the most progressive gun laws were enacted. As such, if someone wants a gun and they are deemed not worthy of having one, maybe it would be good to be a little proactive.
  9. I think there could be some bi-partisan support for most of this even if there was some slight modifications to it. What about this Either 3a or part of 4) checks include social media review and 9) For any of the above reasons you are denied a gun, you are automatically put into some mental health program.
  10. Ultimately that might be needed here. Within a few days we should have a basic idea and it still seems like no one has a clue. A timeline I heard today indicated that within 4 minutes of him entering the school they had him confined to a room and were in contact with him. Even if that turns out to be true and they thought they had a hostage situation at that point, still so many other questions.
  11. Figured this is an appropriate thread for this, I passed my CISSP test today. Last time I really had to study for something my kids were so young, you'd think it would've been easier this time. Just glad it's behind me.
  12. Donaldson is trying to play it off like it was a joke between acquaintances, but I think it was a dig at Tim for comparing himself, in any way, to Jackie Robinson. I don't think it was a racially motivated dig, but simply a gtfo with that type of comparison dig.
  13. I'm pretty sure we both agree on the fact that we don't appreciate you advertising the fact that we agree on something. 🙂
  14. In my team of Network Engineers, i'm the only one that continues to stay with an iphone. Everyone on my team is confused that I choose to stay with the iphone. I wouldn't be a NetEng if I didn't enjoy tinkering and playing with tech, but there is also a point where I just want something to work with as little input as I can put into it.
  15. Anyone on this board actually listen to Tucker? I have some seen clips which look horrible for him, but I used to watch O'Reilly and I was used to watching Twitter or this board explode over stuff that was taken wildly out of context. With the GOP as it is today, I guess I lean towards the fact there is some truth to this, but IDK. That said i'm not going to watch that show to find out.
  16. 6+ months is a long time, especially for Russia given how the last several months have worked out for them. As stated above though, reports are that they are strengthening in Donbass and while western media has exhaulted gains from Ukraine towards the Russian border near Kharkiv, the fact Russia was moving back certainly played a part in it. A coup for Putin still feels like a pipe dream, but I do think it has legs now. That happens, whoever comes in can 'save face' by getting out and keeping Crimea. I can see Putin, or anyone that he has picked to take over for him should his health require it, to ignore what's happened so far and just consider it sunk cost and even show more of a need to keep eastern Ukraine for the resources that they'll need to recoup from this.
  17. Absolutely true, you're describing a legitimate strength with our system. It's just ironic some of the more 'right side of this board' are pointing out the complaints about big pharma and one of the most left wing folks on this board is defending them. What a crazy few years this has been.
  18. In this case, I haven't seen any evidence of Merck doing this, but absolutely that is one of the legitimate Bernie Bro's complaints that has some value. They will have a revenue driving drug and put money into a replacement. Sometimes that replacement is far superior and they launch that and advise against the use of their old one, but sometimes, the replacement gives barely any advantages, yet they spin the same message in order to get the next big winfall. Insulin is a good example, where studies have shown older forms of insulin is just as effective in certain types of diabetes patients, yet the doctor prescribes the 'latest and greatest' or sometimes the insurance company themselves don't even allow the older versions.
  19. This is where I am as well, although I would not be surprised to learn in a few years that it did have some benefits. And as much of a concern there is of a certain group of people deciding it's beneficial without true evidence, I find it equally concerning that the other side has to play the other extreme and call it a horse de-wormer, when it's already been proven to be so much more, when early on, they didn't have any evidence either.
  20. Great point, which is why in the end, choose to believe the ones that match up with what you want to be true and you'll always be right.
  21. My wife is still dealing with intense itching and an occasional rash due to mast cells that are still elevated and they continue to say based on all of their testing, that it's fallout from getting her Covid booster and Flu shot together, so yes, anything is possible with drugs, but 'albeit rare' is the exact point that should have made you question it.
  22. Not sure I would trust that local reporter as much anymore. Considering anyone that got past the meme's that made fun of ivermectin users would know that it has regularly been given to humans for decades without any issues. Yet somehow it only affects people that want to take it to help with Covid....hmmm, one would think it wouldn't pass the smell test if....you know, they didn't want it to be so true.
  23. I joked with my brother last week that the GOP has convinced me and now i'm so pro-life, that even if the pregnancy is a risk to the mother, no abortion allowed. Furthermore, should the mother die giving birth, I want that baby brought up on capital murder charges because it killed it's mom! No appeals either, fast track that baby right to the electric chair. While a joke now, we're on pace to that being on Trump's platform in 2 years.
  24. My bad, i've been studying for a cert and haven't paid as much attention lately, but saw the left jump down Manchin's throat like he was the lone reason why it failed. Assumed there was some reason why they only needed 50 for this one.
  25. This is Trump's endorsement of a state house candidate. No way he'd know these names, but I could see him having some say in this one. I got to talk to one of her canvassers who assured me the first thing Eubanks would do is impeach Whitmer. Had a fun conversation for a minute or so and she cut ties and just handed me a brochure, at least she realized she didn't have my vote and wasn't going to waste her time further.
