A lot of up the middle position players who will put the bat on the ball. Something the big league team is missing. Put guys on base and nobody can put the ball in play. This draft is a long way from helping solve that problem though. Harris continues the battle for the strike zone.

Nobody knows who will end up with more career WAR between Clark or Langford. I understand wanting the more complete hitter, impact bat, of Langford because we just don't have many here in Detroit. I also look at Comerica Park and envision Clark's speed, defense and arm being very valuable in that vast centerfield. I like Clark because I think he'll be able to impact games in a way very few players can. Could you really go wrong with any of the top five? I'd be happy with any of them.

I don't get the Anderson pick. Most of his home runs were to right field. Not sure he can clear the fence at CoPa. Sub par speed and fielding. Arm isn't good enough for third. Too many ground balls. Does make good hard contact. He sounds like Tork-lite.

Max Anderson, R/R, 2B, Nebraska. Speaking of DHs. Projects as a 1B. Three contact hitters with double digit homer potential.

I would rank him #1 as well. Huge ceiling for this kid. Potentially the best out of the five first 2023 picks. Of course there's risk with a high school player but I think he's ranked ahead of Keith.

We wait for Malloy, Keith and Jung to figure out their defense and position. All Clark has to do is prove he can hit. We know his speed and arm are already going to have an impact. I'm happy because I prefer guys who can hit and play defense. I think the only real question with Clark is how much power will he have 20 HR? 30HR? He's going to hit.

I don't have a problem with them taking the best five tool player available.

Go draft someone who can hit!

I'm looking forward to what the new front office can do. Rob Metzler was with the Rays for a long time. They've had some pretty good success in the draft.

The what if game is silly. You can spin it anyway you want to. What if he stayed in Detroit and continued to suck? It doesn't matter. It's in the past. Decisions were made. The end. When he gets traded for three 18 year olds, do we have to hear about them for the next twenty years? One is in Korea, one blew out his knee and one runs a car dealership in D.C.
