  1. Olson 96/97 fastball, 87 slider and 89 change up. Good first inning.
  2. The play I referenced was the pitcher fielding the ball and throwing behind the runner to first. I don't know the whole rule but that makes sense.
  3. Yes he was. Very similar play happened in a Tiger game recently and the home plate umpire called the runner out.
  4. Sorry for the bottom half of the order Olson.
  5. New mock draft from Callis on MLB is basically the same from a month ago but I thought these rumors were interesting: "There's chatter that the Pirates are leaning toward cutting a discount deal with the top pick as they did two years ago, that the Tigers want college bats and would pass on Skenes and the prep outfielders at No. 3 and that the Twins don't want a high schooler at No. 5." https://www.mlb.com/tigers/news/2023-mlb-mock-draft-first-round-june-1?t=mlb-draft-coverage Crews a possibility for the Tigers? I'm sure they'll be happy to settle for Langford who's OPS is even higher than Crews now.
  6. Being surrounded by thirty thousand people probably doesn't help either plus all the cameras. I don't even like going to the mall.
  7. Fangraphs take on the injuries: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/pouncing-tigers-snared-by-injuries-to-e-rod-and-greene/
  8. No update on Riley yet. Has to get scans done on lower left leg.
  9. Nobody left on the bench and Haase arguing the called strike. We may see a pitcher in right field tonight.
  10. Got the six runs but the pitching staff has turned back into a pumpkin.
  11. Lower leg discomfort for Riley.
  12. Ibanez home run out of nowhere!
  13. Less than ideal defensive alignment right now. Nevin looks way too slow to play the outfield.
  14. Short takes over in center. Greene out of the game. We really can't have nice things can we?
  15. Chafin took the opt out after his first year here. The first year was $5.5 million plus a $1 million bonus. The second year was worth $6.5 million. He signed with Arizona for one year and $6.5 million. Were the Tigers supposed to bid against themselves for his services? He chose not to be here. Bye failed starter.
  16. I guess because Rolen and Keith have similar builds, both big guys.
  17. Tough series coming up but we can worry about that tomorrow.
  18. There's an article on the official site talking about Keith only being 21 and facing older competition at AA. He wants to improve his fielding and watched video of Scott Rolen.
