Looked like he was squeezed in the first as well.

Jobe struggled with his command. 94 pitches with 55 strikes.

Jobe two earned runs but the defense has been awful. Shortstop lost a pop-up in the sun and the ball fell right in front of him. Catcher dropped a ball that hit his glove, runner advanced and he can't throw anybody out stealing second.

I wonder if they will call someone up to start. They have a bunch of guys who will be rule 5 eligible so I'm sure they are looking ahead to 40 man roster decisions.

Hinch will find a spot for anybody who can hit. He can find a spot for guys who can't hit at all.

Flaherty has been great but nobody is concerned about his back? Signing pitchers long term is scary enough with arm issues.

Easier said than done but instead of guys like Canha and Urshela, I'd like to see a player or two with real power. A good starter and closer would be great too.

I was critical of Harris last year and I can understand the sites that are critical this year but I'm happy with the trades he made. I would have preferred to just bring back Chafin but it's tough to pass up two good young arms for him. Harris keeps adding talent to the organization. I think the 40 man roster next year will be significantly improved over this year.

It sucks to be sellers every July. Maybe they can do some buying in the offseason. I can't really fault Harris. He did what had to be done because the players haven't performed. Now they need to develop these young kids and "make them better" as he likes to say. Sure would be nice to get a couple established guys who can hit the ball over the fence though. A starter or two would be great as well.

Maybe Canha will get some hits off Flaherty. Or get some hit by pitches at least.
