    Chafin took the opt out after his first year here. The first year was $5.5 million plus a $1 million bonus. The second year was worth $6.5 million. He signed with Arizona for one year and $6.5 million. Were the Tigers supposed to bid against themselves for his services? He chose not to be here. Bye failed starter.
