In the press conference, Harris said something about Detroit becoming a destination for players to become their best. That really stood out to me because this season some players have been performing at their worst. CJ Cron came to Detroit, had a down year and ended up injured. Then he goes to Colorado and has a career year. Hopefully Harris can find those players who are driven to have a career year in Detroit and don't cost too much.

They need to make a rule that guys can't jump into the netting. Seattle player jumps into the net and the ump calls the batter out. It was overturned on the challenge but there shouldn't even be a question about that. First, he trapped the ball against the net. Second, he was completely out of the field of play and third, he dropped the ball. Someone is going to get hurt doing that. It's not a bouncy castle guys.

I guess if he's making changes but not informing the trainers about them, then Fetters would be culpable if those changes lead to injury. You would think before any changes are even suggested, you would want to consult with the training staff first though. We have no way of knowing the process as fans but someone in charge should be looking for concrete answers to the issues ailing this team. They haven't affected a few players but a large portion of the roster has failed to hit or been injured. Those issues need to be identified and resolved before next season. In the end, the manager and the GM are the ones who should know those answers.

Does Fetter have any medical training at all? Wouldn't it be the training staffs job to monitor those types of issues?

Assistant to the regional manager of the devil's advocate: they haven't solved the issue all season. Isn't it Coolbaugh's job to do that?
