    I think it's both of his Achilles that are the issue now. My right Achilles has been bothering me for years. Pushing on the pedals while driving really aggravates it.

    Kids come up and can't even hit the cutoff man but can flip the bat all over the place. In my day, we hit the cutoff man and we liked it!

    Schoop and Candelario both have low BABIP. They might keep them and hope for better luck next year before trading them.

    Schoop is a streaky hitter so he has a bad year and next will be a great year. Yeah yeah that's the ticket. There was a guy like that who would have alternating good and bad seasons. I forget his name.

    Schoop is guaranteed to get paid. If they release him, are they really going to upgrade much considering the money wasted? I can see Candy being non tendered and going after a free agent or a trade for third.

    Tigers need the DH spot next year to have the best chance of keeping Meadows healthy. That's the number one reason Miggy won't be playing.

    The guys I'm hopeful can contribute to the future are Greene, Tork and Baddoo. 21, 22 and 23 years old. I don't think we can declare them failures for awhile. Especially when Reyes keeps getting chances.

    What cruel irony is it that after all these years, the bullpen is the strength of the team? Too bad it doesn't matter because the starters and position players have been some of the worst in baseball over the course of this season.

    Miggy didn't/couldn't run to first, the shortstop booted the ball. Should have been runners at first and second but instead it's game over.
