  1. Not the first time Trump has said "just the tip" to Putin.
  2. Isn't Foley pretty similar to Hanifee? They seem to prefer having a group with varying strengths.
  3. https://www.mlb.com/tigers/news/is-kevin-mcgonigle-a-shortstop-in-the-big-leagues?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage "McGonigle is going to be a star at whatever position he plays for the Tigers. A clear-cut choice as the No. 1 prospect in the recently concluded Arizona Fall League, he drew comparisons to Chase Utley and a lefty-hitting Alex Bregman. Utley never played shortstop in the big leagues and Bregman only has sparingly after starring there at Louisiana State. While in the AFL, McGonigle said he's determined to prove he can make it at shortstop, though he spent the majority of his time with the Scottsdale Scorpions at third base. Working on his defense was his primary focus in the Fall League because, let's face it, he's going to hit. He has spent a lot of time refining his shortstop play with Hall of Famer Alan Trammell. McGonigle could play shortstop in the big leagues, but both his arm and overall defense there would be average at best and most clubs want more than that from their starter there. He'll make the Tigers at some point in 2026, perhaps even on Opening Day, and his best immediate opportunity may come at short after Javier Báez regressed after the All-Star break. I think McGonigle eventually will settle in at second base and strongly resemble Utley, who was his favorite player when he was growing up in suburban Philadelphia."
  4. Tigers sign Vierling, Brieske, Rogers; non-tender Ibáñez Beck fixed it. "Tigers bullpen that has lost Jason Foley, Alex Lange and Sean Guenther in recent moves."
  5. They signed Maeda previously so I wonder if Harris will look at the international market. Would Maeda recommend Detroit to other players or was that bridge burned?
  6. *cough* Franklin Perez *cough*
  7. Lange to KC, ball four, take your base.
  8. 2026 ZiPS Projections: Detroit Tigers | FanGraphs Baseball ZiPS loves the young hitters.
  9. Lee and Ibanez seem to have similar skills.
  10. Driveway drainage systems.
  11. Jones and Ibanez are still on the roster but neither has options left. Lee hit lefties well in the minors so maybe those two become expendable.
  12. No. 10/5 is ten years in the league and five years with the same team. I'm sure they plan to compete with Torres at second base though. If they are looking to trade him, something went terribly wrong. For the rest of the roster, I'd like to see some talented additions. I think they are good in the depth department. They have guys they can shuffle between Toledo and Detroit if necessary.
  13. They need to believe they are the majority. The only explanation is voter fraud. They are the minority and hopefully shrinking fast and back under their rocks.
  14. Turning the White House into Animal House. Toga...toga...toga!
  15. Skubal's pre game ritual is donuts though. j/k
  16. Their mental gymnastics are focused on the word pedophile which is defined as attraction to prepubescent children. This way, they have defeated calling Trump a pedophile with a dictionary, making the whole argument null and void and dismissing people's opinions. Only radical leftists would use the incorrect terminology.
  17. Raleigh had a .248 BABIP. Robbed by the baseball gods.
  18. His minor league stats are better but I'm sure they will try to pass both him and Little through waivers at some point. More roster churn.
  19. Part of me says never invest so much in one player, especially a pitcher. Another part of me says Skubal might just be that special case where an exception has to be made.
  20. Even if they vote to release the files can't Trump refuse to sign it?
  21. Probably try to pass him through waivers like Pittsburgh failed to do.
  22. Another guy who is suddenly 30 and due for a raise in his first year of arbitration eligibility. Probably not a big raise but not worth the risk I guess. Control the zone or else!
  23. Harris will most likely just go with the kids. McGonigle and Clark are going to fit right in with the baserunning strategy for years to come. I'm excited to see what they do but I know hitting will be a challenge at the MLB level.
  24. Two options left so he's not a complete lost cause but he's another first round pick who is not meeting expectations.
