  1. Giants can never sign anyone. They are the Jays of the NL.
  2. He has been injured the last two seasons. Same as Greene and Carpenter. Not a reason to discount him. The fact that he is a RH bat, and the success he had last season, makes me think he’ll be in the mix, or a valuable trade asset. I’m not convinced that Jung will be better, but it would be a nice problem to have if they are both raking.
  3. Why down on Lee? He hit very well at Erie at age 21. He’s a legit prospect.
  4. Another scenario could be Lee tearing it up in Toledo and ready for a promotion.
  5. Let’s hope not—that would be another surrender.
  6. The uncertainty around Bregman makes this more difficult, but I see Lee playing 2B in 2026, with either the Jung/Vierling platoon or Bregman at 3B. If we sign Bregman, I think Jung will be moved.
  7. And I believe they’d be wrong. If they were willing to spend $600-$700M for either Shohei or Soto, they’d likely spend $300M for Bregman and Santander.
  8. If you thought another team with higher waiver priority would claim him first. Of course, that assumes he is covered enough to give up a player for him. LA would only be interested in someone that isn’t on a 40 man roster.
  9. If he was DFA’d, don’t the Dodgers have a window to trade him first?
  10. I went down the Tork for Baty path a week ago, thinking that the Mets might want a cheap replacement if Alonzo signs elsewhere. Thought I was on to something until I learned Baty hits LH, just like Jung. Probably not a fit.
  11. Do we think the Tigers made the call on Keith at 1B without somebody seeing him there this winter? I hope not.
  12. I believe it’s still true that none of the Lions head coaches over the last 40 years ever received another head coaching job in the NFL. Basically been a coaching graveyard.
  13. It was hypothetical, based on Bregman being signed.
  14. Perez might be odd man out, if this is the bench: Dingler McKinstry Baez Vierling Ibanez Actually, Ibanez might find himself on the outs with Torres and Bregman’s RH bats at 2B and 3B
  15. Torres Keith Greene Bregman Carpenter/Vierling Torkelson Meadows Rogers Sweeney/Baez
  16. MLB Trade Rumors poll that was referenced
  17. As long as Kim isn’t blocking anyone, I’m down. But he’s mostly useful for next season, and you’re probably only getting half. I’d just assume Jung and Vierling platoon at 3B
  18. Thanks for posting this.
  19. Sweeney will get the majority of playing time at SS, and he looked very solid there. Paired up with either Baez or Kreidler, and SS D will be fine.
  20. I don’t think the Tigers would sign Kim for SS—they are trying to solve for 3B. I don’t like his offensive production there. Perhaps Plan B if they don’t sign Bregman?
  21. Well, this didn’t age well. Apologies to everyone.
  22. Saw this on X—very talented artist who specializes in baseball-related paintings www.braddavisart.com
  23. The Swifties apparently stuffed the ballot box.
