  1. Thanks again Al and good thing he included a nice draft pick to "get er done". The power hitter we are searching for was given away. To this day I can not watch Tampa Bay highlights on my MLB package for fear of seeing him rake which is almost always assured. Seriously how can an organization miss so badly ?
  2. Nice hitting today by McStinky. Credit where credit is due. Skubal. Keeper even if it’s only for 3 years.
  3. Flattery was beelining for a 5 year deal over 100 million which I think the Tigers were not offering but now with his back "situation" that might not be so certain which opens the door for a less expensive extension but also hurts his trade value. I have no clue what Harris is thinking. I think he gets traded and maybe resigned in the off season which is an option for Kelly as well but it seems historically that rarely ever happens.
  4. And I would think Kelly would be predisposed to signing with the Tigers since we have "nurtured" his renaissance and Hinch being a catcher if the $$ is right. Not sure what he brings back as a rental at the deadline so an extension wouldn't surprise me.
  5. Wendell is a nice surprise. He seems to be trending back up after looking like he was fading out. Nice.
  6. Kriedler getting consecutive starts as consolation to being sent down same as Badoo. McStinky survives again because he is No hit lefty.
  7. With First Baseman power 😊
  8. Must be a rumor started by the same guy who said Ohtani was signing in Toronto.
  9. Well I was ok with the Maeda signing. I liked it so I will wear it but the only option is rolling him back out in five days and if he continues to stink then move him to the bullpen. Not going to DFA him and we shouldn’t. I think and hope he returns to expectations.
  10. I think Bichette will be free agent soon..after 2025 ? So thats a no in my book to give up prospects for one year and pay him and Baez so shortstop will be like 45 million...that's a s**t ton of pizzas.
  11. Senor Smoke
  12. It's way to early to write off his bat and where he seems shy at second he has shown enough to be a very good first baseman and he has the size to play there. As Tiger337 stated he does need to walk more and of course provide better slugging which I think, and the organization surely does, the power and hit tool will eventually show.
  13. I think Keith will hit. Maybe not the prototypical First sacker but 15-20 homers, 30-40 doubles , .340 on base , great speed for a first baseman and solid defense. That's a very valuable player. We can't be greedy at this point. I say read the tea leaves and move him ASAP. That's on position filled and more important we stop wasting time at second base. My opinion. Also I "think" playing second is a real burden for him. Move him to position he plays well should allow him to relax and the hitting will follow.
  14. We should have drafted the player after Jace Jung as many of us were hoping for which was Zack Neto. I just finished watching him play four games straight at Angel Stadium and he can really play shortstop exceptionally and hit a bit. Uncle Al always chose hit over field and the result is, well, less than optimal. And watching Colt Keith three games showed me he can not play second base. He botched a simple tailor made double play but did get the guy at first so no error. He just isn’t smooth , fluid or instinctual like a middle infielder should be and his arm will never play at third base. I’m just a fan watching for 55 years but for me it’s just another waste of time. Uncle Al got lucky 🍀 sometimes but overall he had no business assembling a team. i haven’t seen Jace Jung play but a little in spring training but the printed word says he is subpar at third and just looking at the man I doubt he has any range for second base. in my book we don’t have a shortstop or third baseman in our entire system besides Javy Baez which means we need both and Scot Harris needs to make that a priority urgently or this ship will continue to list sideways.
  15. Agree and it shouldn't require trading Skubal. The same goes for 3rd base. Harris can not leave that open for a third year in the row and stop gaps, rookies who can not play the position and outfielders playing third do not count. Get a legit third sacker for 2025
  16. If we trade Skubal to the Orioles it has to start with Holiday. We are desperate for shortstop. The risk with Mayo and Bassallo is there are some doubts they can stay at third and catcher and we already have to many misfit toys.
  17. Harris also said on the podcast that it allowed him to also pay McGonigle and Wilson/Young (?) high school lefty. Which might have been said to distract from Langfords June but I tend to agree because LLM stated as much. What is melting a bit is Harris pointing out that Keith and all under 24 year olds are struggling because Langford and Churio are figuring it out.
  18. Agree 100 %. I wondered after his last start if he had indeed "turned the corner" and you're pointing out it's the fastball does seem to be the difference maker for him. As one of our 1-1 stumbles perhaps another is ascending. As Sparky used to say "the world turns over on whoever is on top every 12 hours."
  19. Almost every player the Orioles bring up rake except Holiday who had less time in the minors. We are just the opposite. Why is that ?
  20. I left after the top half of the 8th up 5-4. Does that count as seeing a win ?
  21. Great now I really can’t tag on the guy.
  22. Amen and hallelujah. It just makes too much sense. It’s so obvious to see but it still doesn’t happen. Frustrating especially sitting in the stands watching it even Captain Jack couldn’t help today.
  23. It's hard to say don't trade Player X without knowing the return. Also sometimes just let the player play out and take the draft pick. maybe not for Captain Jack since this year is lost but keep Skubal for the next two.
