It seems everything Al does backfires. I admit thinking his off season moves were solid. Barnhart Baez Erod Meadows extending Schoop Grossman year before. Badoo crashing. Snake eyes on all of them. Now Mize. Manning next ? Mayer killing it for Boston in the minors and Jobe looking pedestrian. So I don’t know what to think of Al.

So best case for Mize is pitching effectively in 2025 ?

The beauty of sports is the objective nature of the games. Scoreboard. Politics and religion and all things not sports should be kept separate. Honor Jackie Robinson and leave it at that. The rest is a slippery slope snd owners trying to gain "acceptance/$" probably loose as much as they gain. Just promote the GAME.

You may very well be correct as I am certainly no expert but I think Reyes has shown more power recently and deserves a look since they are all essentially battling for the fourth outfielder's job on a contending team. I guess time will tell.

W. Castro, Hill , Clemens and Cameron are not major league players and should all be demoted. Victor Reyes , once healed, should play every day for at least 200 abs so we know what he really can do for 2023. Badoo needs to improve his outfield routes in AAA. Grossman is a free agent and most likely will not be resigned nor have any trade value come August 2 so he does not need to play everyday. Reyes- Greene- Meadows should get the bulk of the time in Detroit for this year for best results now and planning for 2023. It's simple to me but Al still grips on the guys he traded for hoping to find the Leprechaun's gold. Time to move on.

I will take that trade. Now play Meadows Hill Cameron in the outfield every day please.

My wish is the same as always and that is to compete. Put the best defensive team available that day on the field and try to win. It's ok to lose but no reason to be embarrassed with keystone cops defense. We don't hit enough to give away bases or runs.

What about the one when he ran straight in for a ball over his head ? Change that please. Poor young Erod has to wear 3 extra runs for that one. And as for sample size what is the sample size needed to determine if someone can play the outfield ( W.castro/Clemens) or infield ( Lugo) ? And does our evaluators know what it is ?

I agree with trading any reliever at this point including Lange Fullmer and Soto but for major league ready players not lottery tickets. Turnover could be massive. It’s shocking so much has gone sideways. Baez and Meadows are the only sure starters for next year. Hopefully Tork and Green also but nothing is promised. Probably time to turn this over to someone else for the trading and player acquisitions. Need some creativity I know it won’t happen and to be fair there are lots of injuries and sub par play.

Baez isn’t opting out unless he is doing great. Today was progress with the bat and he is way better than he had shown. Sucks he is so bad for a third of the season though for sure. That brain freeze was rare but costly also. Himch seems good at bullpen building so we need to trade from this strength for better offensive depth and then rebuild the bullpen from our starter depth.

Hinch is losing credibility forcing a shitty infielder to be an even worse outfielder. Madness. The manager had no clothes. The whole organization looks stupid doing this. How can we expect them to develop any new players when they actually think Willie Castro can play the outfield.

I have Apple TV its only $5.00 a month plus the $199 device and I like it and many shows are good (Ted , Dino's etc) but yes Apple and all tech companies have their issues. Anyway I am listening to Dan on the radio and the tv on mute. As a Father of two daughters I am not proud to say that I can not tolerate female play play announcers...and on the field commentators...and being an old school old guy don't waste your time shaming me cause I don't care.
