Gibson is really getting annoying with his way over excuses. And he's one of my all time favorites. Just can the syrup please. It's a pop up for gosh sakes. Just say he blew it. Two pop ups ! Yes mistakes happen but stop sugar coating it. I doubt the players would.

Those Twins teams were good and when we wonder why our 84 team did not win more consider the Twins had Carew, Oliva, Killebrew, Kaat , Allison and Dean Chance together for a stretch. Not bad.

It's possible teams like the Rays and Giants have already figured this out which is why they are so committed to short starts and bullpen led pitching staffs. The Tigers are behind in this thinking still trying to build a team via starting pitching and drafting Mize 1-1 and Jobe #3 instead of position players. That is perhaps the wrong approach in a now breaking ball pitching mind set. Starting pitching is a weak foundation upon which to build a team. Despite their excessive pampering our staters are dropping like flies. They are protecting Jobe like he's the Pope touring Afghanistan. At this rate he will be 21 before he pitches a whole game. They should reconsider where to invest their money and expect lots of turnover on the pitching staff.

I would guess they are hesitant to replace Badoo with Hill given each players "potential" ceiling. We are probably stuck with Badoo "improving" in center until Riley Greene arrives and even he might be better served in a corner. So centerfielder's should still be on Al's shopping list.

Agee. I think Erod will be fine and comparisons to Zimmerman unfair. He is improving and Zimmerman was declining. I think and hope Erod will be a solid signing.

As one of the original baseball franchises the Tigers should be a top 10 value. I agree winning helps but better player and historical promotion would also help. They have done nothing to promote stars like Whitaker Freehan Lolich Cecil And similar who are at or near HOF level.

I hope Meadows is better than he has shown so far but his worst game was in the rain. I think he could be average? Badoo worries me also defensively anyone else have an early evaluation?

Man you have to let him try. What's the difference between 80 and 100 pitches. he was cruising effortlessly. Only 23 of those ! Thats' just over thinking the room.

I noticed that also and its one big reason Tampa traded him but it was rotten day for evaluating. Same for candy's error but that cost us 5 runs and essentially the ballgame.

I think this is the third game of the year. We have a good team that will contend all season. And one of the better managers. I'm staying all in.
