I do not think losing Skubal will stop this organization from excelling. The question comes down to is an additional year of Skubal on a potentially championship level team plus a competitive draft pick worth as much as the assets acquired in trade.

And that equates to 400 million from the Dodgers given the 13% v 4% State tax difference

I agree it would be for multiple major league players with multiple years of control playing positions of need. But I expect Skubal stays all of 2026 and we settle for the camp pick and two playoff runs

Championships are great of course but multiple months of contending baseball with a chance at a Title is worth more to me. Stay the course.
