My guess Green and Tork are in the lineup opening day MLB provided they don’t completely fail in spring training like Tork did this year. Them plus two solid free agents , SS and pitcher , and we are in the hunt ladies and gentlemen.

I think we are set in the outfield assuming Green makes the team early next year. He will play centerfield unless Hill is in the game and that is very questionable because of his hitting and health. He really hasn't proven anything beyond his defense. Badoo should play left given his poor arm and that leaves Grossman in Right and playing every day. Reyes second half will parley him into the spring training competition or an add on for a trade if Al can sell his second half stats. Cameron is AAAA. I also think Chris Taylor could be an interesting sign for shortstop initially and everywhere if Kreidler or someone else emerges. But the Dodgers value him highly and probably will pay to keep him which is unfortunate.

I get it that Abrams might bring more than Matt Manning + on the open market but my proposal is a bit more realistic than Jimenez for Tatis.

I agree they should keep the current format but maybe consider the wild card a two out of three series all played at the home of the team with the best record to eliminate travel time. Then make all subsequent rounds best of seven and go to a 158 game schedule to accommodate . I would also have the World Series at a neutral sight without days off so the most important games are in warm weather or under a dome and revenues split 50/50 teams and players.

Yes. I have been saying this since mid year. But not Mize. Perhaps San Diego will want more so offer Alexander and ask for Kim. We get two quality middle infielders and San Diego gets two young pitchers and some salary relief that they need. I would even sweeten it with one of Reyes, Castro, Cameron or Cisnero. Solving shortstop long term without spending huge dollars would be significant to our off season and future.

Going to be a fun, interesting and meaningful off season after many sitting on the sidelines and dumpster diving. Love it. The pressure is now very high for Al Avilia.

Trading Mize îs not going to happen. Suck for 5 years to get him and then trade him. No way. As I have said before trade Manning who is not MLB ready but highly valued for Abrahms or similar highly rated shortstop that is blocked. Then/ or sign Chris Taylor for shortstop , second , center etc around 18/mil per year for 4 years . Keep Peralta as your # 5 and sign/trade for two veteran starters on short term deals. One stud $$$ and one innings eater $. Find a catcher and your set. Let Wentz or Manning, if not traded ,push from AAA. DFA Niko and send Wille Castro to AAA.

I think Paredes is quietly playing himself back into the second base position for next year at least until Tork makes the team and moves Schoop over. But them he could easily take Goodrums or Willie Castros roster spot on the 26. Spring Training will be huge for him and many others which is real progress.

I think Kim could be had without taking on Hosmer or Myers contract. They have Tatis and Abrahms who I would still take straight up for Matt Manning BTW. Perdomo is interesting as is Turang. On the free agent side I don't like Baez or any player that disrespects the fans and management like he did. Might be a headache Hinch does not need. Now if his price drops to a one year make good deal then sure. Still don't see Tigers spending real big on Correa or Seager. I think the sleeper is Chris Taylor from LA on four year deal upwards of 70 million. Shortstop- second base- centerfield so he can move if Kreidler keeps coming or a better more true shortstop emerges. Solid all around player who fields, runs, walks and homers. A 2 to 3 war player. Baller. Also keeps our finances fluid.

I don’t see JV in our immediate future. I would try to resign Peralta for 2022 if it’s only one year and four mil max. As for Boyd I would offer him 8 million for two years plus incentives for innings pitched maxing out at four million. Basically value a healthy Boyd at 8 mil per year.

Get Kim from San Diego. Signing bonus paid and yearly not too bad. He should improve next year as well and San Diego wants to clear salary to go shopping.
