  1. Agree with you 100%. I retired in 2006 at 63. Now, 20 years later and having survived a major heart attack, I don't regret a think.
  2. Going back even a little farther, I played in a semi-pro league during 1959 & 1960. It consisted of 2 southern Michigan teams and 4 northern Ohio teams. It was made up of high school, college and washed up professional guys. Not a bad league.
  3. You are correct Bert, it has been a long time. No one thought Rote was capable of doing what he did that day in 1957. But my fondest memories go back to 52, 53 & 54 (yes, I was 9, 10, & 11). If Bobbie Layne was sober, no one could beat him & the Detroit Lions.
  4. Location, location location
  5. I did ok with the 50's but can't type very fast and ran out of time.
  6. Also some in northern Idaho around Couer D' Alene. I know because we used to follow the potato & onion trucks and pick up refuse after the trucks would hit a bump or navigate a curve too fast.
  7. Also remember an interview with a Chevy engineer about all the Vega problems. His reply was, "What do you expect from a $2000. car?"
  8. I also owned a '73 Vega (lemon yellow) . Drove it about 1000 miles before the oil problem started. Had no rear seats, kids had to lay down on the back panel wherever we went.
  9. This is the correct answer!
  10. When you get my age, everyone is younger. Now retired for 18 years and loving every minute.
  11. Hhhmmmm! Guess you're old enough to be my son!?!
  12. Hey Burt, you look like that guy we arrested in Kootenai County back in 1977.
  13. That's the spirit!
  14. Bert, you're starting to show your age! 😞
