THE MICHIGAN PANTHERS ARE BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John_Brian_K replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Lions
It would be a grading system of sorts....like if you are projected to go in the 4th or 5th round in the NFL...is that going to make you more than a first rounder in the USFL? Will you get more playing time in the USFL? Will that give you a chance to showcase your talent and maybe make the jump to the NFL better than actually being on the team, but never playing? So if the NFL draft is first and you are sitting there and drop to the 4th or 5th round before being sleected...do you decline that selection and go in the first round of the USFL? Maybe the money is still less, but you are pretty much guaranteed to play every game... -

April 15th or around there is when it starts. I am legit excited. I hope it sticks around. Give me something other than the Lions to root for in football. -

Man that was so bad. I watched during the best part and it was still bad. Got it down to 8 and next thing you know it is 16. I have seen flashes from Cade and he creates well for others, but I am not super impressed. He misses too many shots. 39% is bad. I am sure he will get better, but I was expecting a LITTLE more this year. -
WOW for internet....gig speed for 70.00 a month, Disney+(13.99), Prime (9.91), Netflix (13.99)and getting free subs to other services as good content becomes available. Paramount+ is the most recent for Yellowstone. We were paying around 220.00 for cable/internet alone before going just internet and the internet is about 50x faster. We have 6 tablets, 3 computers, 5 TV's, PS4, Switch and we never experience any lag whatsoever with our internet. Usually on the weekends we have the biggest draw for bandwith...3 tablets going, maybe 2 TV's streaming, 2 phones and one of the gaming systems running...no issues at all. And we could probably cut out Prime if it was just shows, but I only have it for the shipping benefits and Prime is just a bonus.

Yes as I said....I like democracy, but the way democracy is handled in the current political system is a joke. And because the comment was too ridiculous to even respond to I will leave it here..."appalled"? I really cannot laugh enough at that comment.

So you like the idea of big corporations running the country? Because with "campaigning" that is what you get. With pork in bills, this is what you get.

He has been out almost a month and the team has put a little something together with him out, winning almost .50% of their games while he has been gone. I think it is safe to say we should just try to get what we can for him and move on. -
I do not follow current politics enough to have the required info to say yes or no on that question. All I know is that the word is tossed around in presidencies all the time. To the point where I think it lost it's real meaning. To the Clinton Impeachment...from what I recall (and I may be wrong about it) it really all just came down to lying under oath. I like democracy, but I think the whole thing needs to be tore down and rebuilt.

Why does each "side" have to talk about impeaching every term? When was the last time the other "side" had a sitting president when impeachment was NOT brought up? Was it Regan?

Yeah, buy what you like. I think it will be hard for anything to take over for bitcoin at this point though. All the others will be bought out in a move by Bit to become the new cash at some later date IMO, but there is a ton of time for that to shift. Bit was one of the first and pretty entrenched so if something else does take over it will have to be huge.

I still have no idea what mining crypto is and why people have these huge farms of computers. I have some bit, lite, etherium, Doge, elonMars...but super small amounts. To me it is worth the risk to dump a few grand in these and ride it out. I like to diversify all over the place with small amounts and keep the majority of our money in proven winners (so far at least). I have a few grand in groundfloor, Legion M also. I think I am done with crypto though. I am in what I thought had a chance to make it. I do think eventually crypto will be the new cash one day. I have no idea when that will be though...it is going to span a generation I think at least though. At the earliest when my kids are old geezers, but more likely when their kids are old geezers.

Correa gets no meaningful offers after the lock out and gives Avila a call...I love the offer they made and would take it all day...move Baez over...

Almost as fucked up as people cheering conservative deaths because of covid...ALL over this board, but let the sounding board continue..

I had about a page of discussion on this topic typed up, but on this board it would just get flamed to death so I will keep my opinions to myself.

No, what you have been doing in this thread is trolling, but it is fairly obvious when you take all the threads into account.

Start a new streak! ESPN+....BOOO...will not be able to watch this one.

I never knew how much of a Lions slappy you were. It is weird how much you deny it though....just own it. Nothing wrong with it...

I totally disagree with this. There are football towns and there is Detroit. We have a decent fan base considering how god awful they have been for 60 years, but real solid football towns create a culture of wining...get this, by actually winning. Doing what it takes to win. Also a lot of those real football towns are not 4 sport towns...so football just naturally means more to them...that goes for ownership as well. I know most people like to take the lazy cliche and say that the owners of teams treat the team like a throw away or some kind of fancy hobby, but believe it or not...winning creates more money and the owners like making money so they naturally do what it takes to win. For some people/owners...winning just means more..the Fords do not really care about it...at least they do not appear to care or you would have to have a couple playoff wins in 60 years... The Bobby Lane curse ended like 13 years ago...there is no curse...there has just been poor decision after poor decision from top to bottom here which is why most people point to ownership because it is the only constant...I mean honestly how bad do you have to be in order to not get lucky at least ONCE in 60 years?

I do not know about the "but Freedom" comment, but I agree that owners of firearms whose kid uses that firearm to hurt or kill someone should be held responsible and do jail time.

I love how people point to Stafford record against GOOD teams as some sort of failure on his part...one man...not solely responsible when they win and not solely responsible when they lose...one guy that does what he can and was well above average...then they say "he is no Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady"...well duuuh
