  1. Do I use that on our favorite go to places to eat.....part of me says no, because if they are bad for some reason I will not be able to go back, but on the flip if they are our favorite it means we have eaten there hundreds of times with no issues.
  2. Here is the thing though....if for some reason he stops playing next year....injury...whatever...does that change your feeling on him?
  3. 100% what that dude is doing is off the charts....for now....does he keep it up? Do the Angels or whoever he ends up with LET him keep it up? Personally I think a team would be stupid to try to pigeon hole him into one or the other, but I am sure there are a million examples in history where they took a SP and made him a reliever or vice versa...or moved a guy from pitching to the field etc. With Ohtani, if they tried to do that, it would be criminal IMO.
  4. As much as I like to glorify what the greats have done in history...not just with baseball, but everything really, I pretty much agree with your conclusion that if you dropped 1942 Williams in todays game, he would have a rough time with it, I am PRETTY sure he would still be a good player, but even that is debatable.....if you take out the weirdness of just having been transported in time and assume for the sake of the weird hypothetical that it was a normal thing.... I am also not that versed in pitchers from that era, but my gut is telling me pitchers today throw harder, study more and then take into account relievers. I am pretty sure there were not as many good pitchers in relief back then.
  5. Well plus Pujols is probably like 65 right now...😆 Ohtani is basically the current day Ruth...at the moment...he will have to keep us this kind of pace for awhile like you mentioned. To show my ignorance on Ruths career...he did hit and pitch at the same time right? IIRC he started as a pitcher then transitioned to hitter, but did still do both for a period? I am too busy to look it up right now.
  6. Get ready to add Trout and Ohtani to that list in the next 15 years...
  7. Alright, that seems fair. As an overall player I would agree Miggy is somewhere in the 30 range all time and nowhere close to Cobb IMO. Kalines defense really keeps him above Miggy on an all time Tiger list IMO. That is just based on what I have read. I never saw Kaline play myself. Miggy is just all about hitting. No real speed to speak of, not horrible, but nowhere near great in the field. Just curious where (roughly) you would put Miggy just on the all time RH hitter list?
  8. How many elite guys are there through baseball history in your opinion?
  9. I used to check my accounts daily. Last time I looked was about a month and a half ago, still auto depositing and auto buying on a schedule. I could not handle what was going on...it was looking pretty bleak...and while still not good...it is not as bad as I thought it would be. I got in on TSLA just before the split in August 2020.
  10. https://www.indiewire.com/2022/04/vince-gilligan-new-show-1234715644/
  11. Any trade for Soto starts with Greene first...maybe add Tork and Skubal.
  12. How did I forget about Jesse? But I am not sure they could come up with a story line that would work. I am mainly talking about a series that would follow the events, not a prequel...except for the Mike idea. I mean we do still have Skylar and Walt Jr, but again that feels like grasping at straws. Both series have been WILDLY popular, people do want more of it...if they could come up with an idea that makes sense. Barring that...I wonder what their next show will be....these guys have a talent for creating compelling shows....they do not have to follow this story. Start a new one.
  13. Miggy is not going anywhere...it makes no sense at all.
  14. How many prequels can they do? I mean to me if they did another one in this universe it would revolve around Mike and his dealings as a bad cop who "broke his boy". I wonder if they could do one with Kim? That seems flimsy though. Problem is they do not have enough known characters to really do another one unless they were banking on people falling in love with new characters never seen. I mean Saul was a beloved character in BB and even for him they had to bring Gus, Mike & Tuco to the series. I am pretty sure I would watch a series about Mike, he is a cool character. I think Gus is played out, not in the sense that he is not a good character, just that I think we know enough about him for a new series to not really move the needle. Or they could do a series that follows the timeline AFTER all this.....who would be left alive to make a new series interesting? Who takes over after Gus and Walt are gone.....could they bring in a new character and supplement a series with some of the smaller characters from BB and BCS? I think that one could have some legs.
  15. I forgot about that. You are correct. I feel like something has to happen with Mikes daughter in law for sure. I wonder if the first shot we get of Walt is him sitting in the waiting room of Sauls about to go in when he posed as Badgers uncle. I would assume at some point we see Tuco getting out of jail to set something up there also.
  16. Also I think a rewatch of BB after this series is over is almost a must...I am sure there will be a ton of stuff we all missed.
  17. Mike was never dissolved as far as I recall. He was just left by the river. So you think someone is going to tell Howards wife or Mikes daughter in law? Or both? That would be a HUGE fast forward unless you think Gene will be the one to go tell Mikes daughter in law, but not sure why Jimmy would even care. I do think they need to tie up Mikes story with the grand daughter in some way though. To me it is Jimmy, Kim then Mike, then Gus. Mike is the thiiird most important character on the show IMO. Are we going to get ANY scenes that run concurrent with BB I wonder or is it all the lead up then the Gene scenes.
  18. Thanks. I thought for sure they said it was this past episode. https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/better-call-saul-season-6-bob-odenkirk-heart-attack-scene.html/
  19. I only do the lame o fountains these days, they are still a hit every year.
  20. I wonder if Kim is done now. Would they just leave her story like that? If the jump was a year and a half will they give her 10-15 precious minutes in the next few episodes? I would assume they would give her a little more screen time...maybe not to completely tie her story in a nice bow, but just to let people know where she went or what path she went down. It does not look like it will be a good one. Assuming an addiction of some kind and running with the wrong people...or I mean that was the exact reason she left Jimmy so maybe she ends up clean on the other side, redemption. That was supposed to be the episode Bob had his heart attack, somewhere in the middle of filming...which does not mean the middle of the episode, wonder what scene it was. Mike missing his grand daughter and is back trying to finish the lab again. Gus is the golden goose...of course Lalo was going to let him do his thing, even with Hector going crazy on his bell. Jimmy and Kim went to a hotel the next day...Mike specifically told them not to do anything different...wonder if that will somehow come back to haunt them. No SOL on murder. It feels like it is too late in the game to introduce a completely new character....I wonder if they introduce Hank and Gomez as the guys who got the Howard case...I know they were vice before, but maybe he did some time in homicide. Where is the tension going to come from....we are close to when the timelines match up to BB and I think the story now is what happens to Gene...we already know why he became Gene, Kim is gone. It will be interesting to see where they go with the next couple episodes...assuming the last 2 will be all Gene.
  21. Joan Jett? I have used Etix before, but it was for a concert. Not sure they do sport events.
  22. Using those specific numbers he would be 30th on a list of best players...using those metrics.
  23. I expected close to .500....a few games under maybe, but close. Hard to judge with the injuries...they really did feel unprecedented. I am fine with Hinch, not so much with Avila at this point and would be fine if they fire him. I think the pitching over all has been a real bright spot on the year. I just cannot help but think something is just really off in the clubhouse with the position players. Some of the AB's just look lazy and uninspired. I have a hard time coming up with an answer as to why guys would look so bad at the plate and usually fall back on the idea that the players are not jellying and it festered. The talent is not really there, but it is not this bad, it should not be this bad.
  24. 5 more episodes is still a ton of content. I doubt there will be a huge time jump. They may jump it a few months or something. I do think we should get at least 2 episodes of Gene to tiddy it all up. Depending on how they do it they may be able to get away with one episode...the final one.
