This is the worst take of all time. I really hate when people say "prove it" when it is right there to be seen if they want to see it then act like the person is lazy for not copying a link or 2. Not even talking about this specific situation, I did not even read it, but I see this take online so much and it is beyond a peeve for me. People that say that have their mind already set...it does not matter at all what the other person references. It is just a lazy take from both sides when they already know it does not matter what the info says...their mind is already made up. Carry on the argument.

I think the ideas were good. I think NFL fans would have enjoyed it, but the quality of play was just so substandard. He probably should have advertised more outside of the time slots when the WWF was on also.

It did and I was a big believer in it in the first incarnation, but was a big WWF kid back then. I am surprised McMahon gave it up. Maybe he is trying to get a foot in the door on ownership of the NFL or something.

I knew they were starting back up, but thought it was this year and had no idea McMahan sold it to the Rock. Tin Foil hat conspiracy theory (because they generate so much discussion) XFL only got a couple weeks into the new season before covid, the NFL is charging 2.5 million per 30 SECONDS of airtime for the Championship games...not the SB, the Championship game...a lot of cheese to lose even small % of, NFL owners are greedy....

Maybe not as big, but I think the market can EASILY bear 2 leagues. It is all about the capital and how long the owners want to lose money before turning a profit. If they can bear it out for 3-4 years I think it will only grow from there. Are they using the same rules as the NFL? Anything different? I have not read that part yet.

I have never heard of the UFL or Alliance football...I also thought the arena league was not really taking the NFL on, but trying a different approach. Also the Euro league, TBF, was the NFL trying to expand not another league trying to compete. I recall the XFL's first foray into taking the NFL on...that was a failure for sure. This last time was pour timing. I think there is a market there for competition...if there was not they would not be trying. Honestly I think if either the XFL or the USFL were not trying at the same time one of them could grab the audience. My money is on the USFL though because it has SOME history, tickets are 10.00, it will be televised and kids are free. XFL is just WWE trying to merge with football, which you would think would work, but they are too campy IMO. If it makes it more than 3 years (it will go AT LEAST 2 IMO) I think they have a chance. Football is too big in the United States to only have one professional league, both the USFL and the XFL understand that, but do they have enough capital to fade 2-3 years of negative returns before it can get an audience?

I am a hopeful type person. I have to be and while I am on board with this for the most part...I am a little worried about it all and especially finding people to man those retail jobs that will allow the companies to reap the profits from the consumer. I mean it is no joke, the service industry is pretty horrendous right now, those who are working do not want to be there...I am hopeful it is just covid fatigue and we can soon put it all behind us. Considering what has happened the past 2 years it is no surprise things are taking a dip, just keep it small and short.

This is almost exactly how I see it also.

I have autobuys every month, that is not changing. I am not selling anything I am not buying more of anything (although that I WOULD be doing if I could right now) it is buttclenching watching the market the past few weeks, but still not as bad as it was in 2/2020 so I am hopeful it does not get much worse. The market is too entrenched with the economy...it will never crash again...if it did we would get real apocalyptic type stuff.

Other than the XFL what else has tried? Besides the original USFL?

I really hope the USFL sticks this time. Maybe in 20-30 years it can be a real superbowl between the USFL and the NFL. I cannot recall the last time I bought an NFL jersey or sweatshirt etc. I am going to get a Panther sweatshirt for sure.

I doubt we share the same friend, but that would be funny.

This is the EXACT reason I never do valet...no matter how fancy the place is I almost never have any small bills...I keep a folded up 100 or 50 in my wallet at all times just in case, but as soon as I break it I give that cash to my wife and replace it.

I thought the lockout included all leagues associated with the biggs? I could be way off on that, but I thought that is how it worked.

Some of the words have been extremely unique. Definitely not every day words...at least not the few I did the other day.

My wife does so much with me that I know she hates...likewise I do things with her she knows I hate...it is a 2 way street, it is called an adult relationship. Not many young kids have those these days...at least it does not feel like they do. We are the lucky ones....those who have significant others who are decent people.

Those days are all blurry, but it was probably either Ozzfest or Pearl Jam. Late 90's or maybe early 2000.
