  1. come on. really?
  2. if they trade anything of value - even marginal value - for vucevic or kuzma i'm out. at least lavine can be a second scorer for cade. and he's a fun player to watch on offense. vuc is 34, slow, a marginal shooter, plays no defense, and a malcontent. i'd rather have nic claxton. at least he plays defense. claxton-ausar-holland-cade-stewart. we'd lose every game 65-63.
  3. wings win! they needed that one.
  4. it makes me very upset to watch gustaffson play hockey.
  5. if you had jeff petry with a 2 goal game today, congrats.
  6. seider standing there watching as knies tips in right in front of him. and just minutes before then, ras is all alone in front and shoots it right at the goalie. as per usual.
  7. great play by kane to set up copp to pass to seider for a great goal. 2-1 wings. kane may be washed but he still has that great hockey brain. what a set up.
  8. great play by marner to set up matthews. edvinsson gets lost and its 1-1.
  9. chychrun instead of cholowski...
  10. melton for shroeder....pistons getting in on it?
  11. the sixers should just tank the rest of the season.
  12. omg. please no.
  13. if we give up anything for kyle kuzma i swear to god i am done with this franchise.
  14. former red wing camper in TC.
  15. true about the shooting. he's been on a hot streak this year.
  16. is the real reason they've failed so badly is that he no longer has the same people surrounding him as he had in tampa? they brought all the old red wings back to be in management now and its quite possible that while they were great players, they arent very good at scouting.
  17. there's a reason why lavine has been available for two years and no one has moved for him yet (not even the lakers!): that contract, health, and the league has gotten wiser to all counting stat players on bad teams (see drummond, andre). otoh, lavine can score in bunches and that's a skill teams still need despite the other baggage.
  18. one of the sticking points on a potential lavine-ivey deal is that the bulls have no picks to trade. im not giving up ivey for lavine. lavine is a cancer. a selfish player who plays zero defense and thinks he's michael jordan. much of his game is based on his otherwordly athleticism and that is going to decrease as he gets older. ivey could be lavine-lite in a couple years. the bulls would have to give me at a #1 pick with that deal and they dont have one to give.
  19. i wouldnt either. but that's probably the biggest impact player you can get for ivey. better off paying ivey and seeing if he develops into a less selfish lavine.
  20. would you trade ivey for zach lavine? the bulls would do that in a heartbeat.
  21. i have a number of direct reports in the philly area who despite my best efforts are flyers fans. one of them went to the game last night and said the wings were just dead. small, and not physical. pushed around. lackadaisacal. imo that's a recipe to fire the coach. weve all said we know about the roster although we have different opinions on why. i give yzerman more benefit of the doubt than others because i see the organization he took over as one of the worst of all time. with that said, its hard to argue with results. and the results of copp, compher, chairot, holl, gustaffson, tarasenko, dealing walman, not re-signing perron (which i thought was smart), dealing maata, etc have resulted in a terrible, talentless roster. i still put the majority of blame for that on kenny holland and zadina, veleno, cholowski, and rasmussen. those guys should be the foundation right now and - as we know - they are either out of the league or not very good. regardless, this season is a waste. trade off anything that isnt young and move forward. and hope against hope for some lottery luck.
  22. boston without jalen brown and jason tatum are nothing. both were top 5 picks. you have to get lucky and find one of those guys. the pistons have one in cade. they need another and that other will most likely only come via a top 5 pick. theyve been unlucky in the lottery. unless they get lucky theyre likely screwed. picking 10th definitely decreases their chances exponentially.
  23. true. they look like one of the worst teams in the league this year.
  24. on another level? they beat them in OT at home in week one when the rams were without half their starting lineup including both starting tackles and kupp (iirc). and they beat them in the playoffs last year thanks to a blatantly missed PI call. the rams and stafford are very dangerous if healthy. i'd much rather play the vikings and sam darnold, purdy and an injured niners team, or the packers who weve already beat twice. i want no part of the eagles or the rams.
