archie, anything that goes in front of a special committee is political grandstanding. and chip roy is doing nothing but political grandstanding. likewise, the doj going after parents "protesting" at school board meetings is also political grandstanding. its politics. that's what they do. even a legitimate inquiry, like the 9/11 commission or the january 6 commission will devolve into political grandstanding. most politicians are trashy click bait specialists who are there to get elected and do their donors' bidding. c'est la vie.

the blackhawks are winless in 5 games and have been outscored in 5 on 5 play 17-3. they have not had the lead in any game this season. they are also capped out and without any #1 picks. and tied to a max contract for seth jones for another decade. the hawks are a more talented team than the wings, but i would much rather be the wings going forward than the hawks.

after cal-GARY got their two goals, they shut it down and the wings didnt have a lot of chances after that. sort of a listless performance. the schedule has been easy so far. theyre about to play two desperate teams in montreal and chicago. and no bert for montreal.

fire fighter's union has filed suit asserting the mandate is unconstitutional. police departments probably have too, i would imagine. emergency powers are very broad. i doubt they will be successful.

how was last year not the first year of the rebuild? bottom line is that you think more of the talent than i do. fair enough. i know rebuilds take time, but the nba is about athletic wings. we dont have any and havent shown any inclination to get one. hopefully the next draft has one we can get (although its supposed to be good on big men, not wings).

they looked terrible on offense. and the bulls are an awful defensive team. especially egregious because they have no players other than occasionally grant who can get their own shot.

if the design is to assemble a team that cant compete with nba athletes while mismanaging assets to the point of ridiculousness, he's succeeded in spades. i dont expect them to be good, my problem is that they are building a very limited team, imo unless cade is luka doncic. but they try hard. that's something.

its a fight with the city government. not sure what race has to do with it. public sector unions being dumb. mayor has backed herself into a corner again. they cant afford to fire all those cops and firefighters. they'll need to give them the opportunity to test if they have an objection to the vaccine. that said, there are only 21 officers on unpaid leave now. knowing cpd, they could out half the merit promotions on leave and no one would notice.

in his defense, he's still 20. he's one of the youngest players in the league. but he STILL won't attack the basket and he has no right hand. force him right and he cant do anything. "well then buddha, why dont more teams force him right?" because when he goes left he just throws up a bad layup or fadesaway for a bad jumper. his offense has not improved one bit and he'll never become more athletic. our best hope is that he's a poor man's lonzo ball and his outside shot gets good enough to be serviceable.

Lakers-Warriors with huge ratings last night. the biggest opening game audience in 4 years and the most watched show by young adults on the night. bucks-nets was the least watched opening night game in 14 years. lol. nobody gives a shit about the nets or the bucks. the nets are in the biggest tv market in the country and no one cares. if it was knicks-bucks the ratings would probably have tripled. durant, harden, and the flat earther and they still cant make anyone care about the nets.
