i'm pretty sure management has seen all they need to see from jared goff. he's not a good nfl qb and hasnt been one for a long time. he was propped up in LA by a great offensive coach, a good nfl line, and todd gurley in his mvp caliber prime. as soon as gurley regressed, goff went from serviceable to bad.
now he's been placed in an awful position. he's bad and he doesnt have any weapons around him to be the best he could be, which is "average."
trading assets to bring in a middling receiver that another team doesnt want would be dumb for a team going nowhere who needs all the future assets it can get. the benson trade was bad enough, lets not double down on that mistake.
