  1. Bryce Young is the only QB I'd be interested in this year. CJ Stroud isn't that mobile & doesn't do all that great a job getting out of pressure .. at least he hasn't against Michigan's D in the last 2 years. I'd go DL with the Rams pick - CB with ours - then fill in the LB/OL/RB positions. At the risk of sounding like a homer, I would love Blake Corum, because I think his running style fits what this offense is already doing with Swift, when Swift is healthy.
  2. I wondered that too. Maybe upset nobody visited him in the hospital? IDK. I wondered if it was about McNamara & he didn't feel Cade got a fair shake. If so, then Erick All isn't what he appeared to be either, especially as a captain.
  3. Yes we are all caught up on All Things Great & Small - We both loved the Bosch novels, but weren't all that enamored with the series. I don't mind flawed "heroes", but my wife just didn't like the character & I wasn't going to force her to sit thru it. We tried Jamestown last night & were both "meh". I'll check out Strike.
  4. We've been watching a bunch of Masterpiece Theater & BritBox. Finished several series, including Shetland, Miss Scarlet & the Duke, & Magpie Murders, & now we're kind of at a loss as to what to watch. We're waiting for January when most of the things we keep up with bring their new seasons. My wife isn't a fan of anything too blue, & loves murder mystery kind of stuff. Any suggestions?
  5. I'm hoping the Bears turn it on a bit & slide out of the 2, leaving the door open for the Rams pick at 2. That would most assuredly leave Will Anderson there for the taking - but could also potentially allow us to trade back, get more picks, & still get a lock down corner.
  6. Hope you feel better soon. I too am quad-vaxed & the one time I got it, I was tired for one day, but everything else went away really quickly.
  7. Jags are much improved as well, but Hutch showed off against Thibs a couple of weeks ago. It would be nice to see a repeat against Walker.
  8. I was thinking more "in-game" changes, but in relation to Knowles - he strikes me as Don Brown 2.0. He had 1 M-O - Stop the run. Don't let them do to us what they did last year. He stacked the box & blitzed all day - That's probably what I would've done too, but when he got hit by not 1, not 2, but 3 45+ yard passes, he didn't know what to do. He tried to adjust on the fly a bit, but had no answer. JJ began to make inroads in the run game, & as the game went on, Knowles was shaken. It wasn't that we were stronger & tougher - it's that we didn't marry ourselves to 1 thing.
  9. All the losing M has done to O over the last 20 years has made me a lot less cheeky than I used to be, but I really do think there's something to Harbaugh's quote about "Being born on 3B & thinking you hit a triple." I believe Ryan Day is a good coach, but he is not NEARLY the coach the media thinks he is - or maybe that HE thinks he is. There's been a smugness to his demeanor since he took over. The Big Ten has not forced him to prove it until, as you said, M has. Harbaugh has brought an NFL mindset to replace the kind of scheme mindset that Don Brown had. When something isn't working, you stop doing it & try something else. Day has not had to adjust at all for 3 years & now he's being exposed.
  10. I saw one analyst, I think on PFF, who uses that exact comparison on Stroud. Personally I think he may be a little closer to Justin Herbert. Stroud is not expected to run out of the pocket at OSU, but then again there's really only one opponent he may need to do that against. Given the right circumstances, I think he could use his feet a little better if he needed to. Still, he was rattled yesterday & that's my biggest concern with Goff. Sometimes he's got deer-in-the-headlights look about him. . If we're replacing Goff I'd rather do it with someone who isn't like him.
  11. Ryan Day brought in Knowles because they got manhandled last year. Knowles was basically Don Brown. Dr. Blitz. He had absolutely no answer. He was brought in to do 1 thing. He did it. He stopped the run, but when we torched him thru the air & he tried to adjust - We hung 200+ on him on the ground. That's what made this so delicious.
  12. They hung with them in the first half - but I did NOT see this coming in the 2nd half. But OSU did play tight.
  13. First sack - & the refs mercifully say it wasn't a fumble .. but it was
  14. JJ on the sideline with the wave, salute, & a "See Ya" 😁
  15. WOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a 2nd half!! 28-3
  16. Don't know if I would have tried for a FG there. Pin them deep. No big plays now - keep everything in front of you
  17. OSU is imploding with the penalties in the second half
