I wonder if that Alabama-Tennessee game benefited from a huge number of people who tuned in during the 2nd half when they realized there was a chance for an upset? That's a huge spread between 1-2.

I am holding out hope that the NE game was an example of Belichick handing it to a rookie OC. Ben Johnson has done some pretty good things with this offense, but Belichick is a master of exploiting tendencies & making you beat him another way. Hopefully we learn from this & jump back into being competitive.

I agree that M's LBs are the weak link in the D, but my hope is they can put one out there that just spies Stroud. The interior of the D-line has been good a getting pressure on its own, & if our coverage holds up & Stroud can't get loose running the ball, I like our chances better. OSU's WRs were better last year & we neutralized them, but Stroud is better. I think the big key is going to be McCarthy. If he can hit some of the intermediate/long passes early, it should open things even more for that run game.

Why can you not point out differences of opinion without coming off as an insolent 12 yr old?

UPDATE: Delivered & set-up this morning - except they didn't bring a long enough cord for the electric dryer. I took an hour off & picked one up @ Ace. Finally, clean underwear!

I don't trust an Ohio State QB. They are not asked to do the things an NFL QB is asked to do. I understand the concern about Young's size, but Jalen Hurts isn't all that big either. With the right scheme & protection he could be okay. I also would not be heart-broken if they went defense with both picks. That side of the ball is a dumpster fire.

Glad we have Penn State at home. Hoping we don't miss Trente Jones too much on the OL.

Got a text Sunday that they're going for this Wednesday (tomorrow) between 9-1. I called Costco & told them this is the 4th time. I've been impressed with Costco's customer service - but it's getting incredibly frustrating.

I'd start doing stuff HOPING to get fired - then retire & do whatever I want with that kind of cash. Holy crap.

Last year when this team hit a wall offensively (the first 11 games) DC made the changes necessary. I am holding out hope that given the porous defense so far this year, DC & his staff will make the changes necessary to compete. I don't expect them to go from worst to first, but if they simplify some coverages (which they've hinted at) & improve a little bit we may start winning some of these close games.

Companies that outsource deliveries. We have had to have our washer repaired no less than 4x in the last year, and so when it acted up again last month I made the decision to buy a new one. I researched it, asked some friends who have the same washer, & made the purchase online from Costco. It was to be delivered last week Wednesday. They sent the confirmation the day before, & then after the time window they gave me expired, sent another email that said it would be last Friday. Went thru last Friday & nothing - Now it was supposed to be today, & they've canceled for the 3rd time - this time with no clue as to when it might get sent. Ugh...

I notice is more in the morning, because I'm a creature of habit & usually walk out the door at 7 to walk my dog before showering & leaving for work. These past few weeks I've had to hold off `til 7:30 or so.

That said, I understand this rebuild is still going to take a while - and it seems to me it could do more harm than good to buy out Miggy. It's one season. If he wants to come back, let him. You don't have to start him, even at DH.

JJ needs to learn it's not admitting defeat to take what the defense gives you, because what Maryland did was provide a blueprint for beating JJ. We'll be seeing a lot less man-to-man & a lot more zone going forward I'm sure. I do think they have to figure out this play-calling thing too. It's got to be 1 or the other.
