  1. I don't pretend to know what Jalen Ramsey is like, but I'd think long & hard about the impact he would have on the locker room before I pulled the trigger.
  2. Covid was such a game-changer. More & more talent are working from home, which I don't mind at all from an on-air standpoint. Content is content - but I think it takes a really strong leader at the office to make sure they are engaged with their local audience, & with the rest of the staff - unless of course they're just tracking.
  3. Couple that with how TE production went up after he left, & I would not be surprised if DC, having been a TE himself, knew there was something amiss.
  4. That's true, but the Packers were a perennial playoff team when they drafted him. The Lions are trending upward, but I think have more pressing needs than to take him that early. If he slides, that's another story.
  5. I think Harbaugh's flirtation this time was due diligence in case UM did not cough up money for his assistants & a more cohesive, competitive NIL plan. He would have gone, but wasn't hoping to, IMHO
  6. If all that's true, Warde needs to go NOW
  7. If I'm gonna get really nit-picky, if you watch that play develop on the screen, St Brown is even more wide open at like the 5 yard line. I know we didn't need a TD, but Goff never looked that way. Still, he did get the ball out of his hands quickly & it was a well designed play.
  8. THAT is awesome! DJ Chark .. doo doo doot doot doo doo 😅
  9. I wouldn't mind another RB for depth, but I wouldn't do that until 3rd round or later. We have other needs first. I do agree you likely wouldn't get much in return for Swift right now. There were times this season when it looked like he was broken, then 3 plays later dynamite!
  10. That Jamaal Williams post-game interview was legendary. Man I hope they bring him back.
  11. Why don't they just determine seeding based on win percentage?
  12. I'd be okay with Hart or Moore - but I would hope they'd at least interview others.
  13. A loss to CMU last night. C.M.U. That's embarrassing. It's time to find a better coach.
  14. Several years ago I was preparing to buy my first laptop. I had saved the cash, done the legwork, & was waiting for Black Friday deals. Logged on to Best Buy's website & found what I wanted for $300-$400 cheaper than the other places I'd checked. Ordered it on Black Friday. On December 23, they emailed me & said "We're sorry - we no longer carry this item." It was for me, so nobody's Christmas was ruined but mine - but I haven't shopped there since.
  15. I don't see him as a political guy at all. His mantra has always been "Play as long as you can; Coach as long as you can; Die" I don't see him doing anything else, including TV.
  16. My gut feeling is that he doesn't leave this off-season, but my gut is notoriously stupid when it comes to this kind of thing.
  17. Of all the things the new 12-team playoff promises to bring, the end of this big gap is the best of them.
  18. Man. I don't ever remember making it past 99 ...
  19. My first thought was James Harrison with the Steelers.
  20. It's comical to look thru this game thread & see certain posters going completely ape shit for 3 quarters - posting 1 negative thing after another - & then go radio silent after the Brock Wright touchdown & have zero posts since.
  21. If you're not looking south, I'm assuming cold weather isn't a deterrence? Midland, MI is a college town, good business community, a small center for the arts, a fortune 500 company that makes it very diverse ethnically, & yet not TOO big. Plus you have the added bonus of being within driving distance of a HUGE number of morons.
  22. That play is the reason I hate USC to this day.
  23. I think the sign of a good leader is giving credit publicly to others, & at times allowing yourself to be self-deprecating. So many "alphas" will never allow themselves to look silly - DC does that beautifully.
  24. He strikes me as a poser. He got into a perfect situation in Seattle, with an innovative coach, a bruising RB & a great defense - but like the media always does, they give the credit to the QB. He also begins to believe his press clippings & think he really is a great leader. Winning is a great leader. I don't think Aaron Rodgers is a particularly good leader either.
