Drive sober and drive safely. There's never a need to drive after five to six beers and never a reason to pass someone on the ****ing shoulder of the road. People can be so selfish and it breaks my heart.

Another two goals for MBN....18 year old absolutely lighting it up against men. I am getting way too excited. His shot alone gets me all hot and bothered but he's such a good forechecker and plays so hard... I cannot wait for him to get to Detroit.

Red Wings 2024 Off-Season Thread

Well if there's no agreement he can't play, he isn't arbitration eligible so he's holding out until ink is on a contract. He won't be a UFA until 2028 too. Theoretically they could agree on a small bridge contract to take him to arbitration, but it doesn't feel like either side would want that (in my opinion). Unless Raymond comes out and says he does not want to play for the Red Wings because of the contract negotiations I can't imagine they trade him. If we get into training camp I'll start worrying about our RFAs not being signed personally, but right now I expect them to get deals done because it just is the most likely scenario all things considered. Yzerman has had late signings like this in Tampa and Detroit so it isn't too shocking even though I'd rather they be done already! -

Noah Brown got released in Houston, wouldn't mind the Lions taking a look there -

Could be Raymond's agent putting it out there, but that was tweeted by David Pagnotta who is notoriously unreliable especially when it comes to the Wings. He tweeted the same thing about Larkin during their negotiations. Could be something there but I figured I would add that caveat. I am anxious for Seider and Ray to get signed. -
Obviously not the best footage...drives to the net and looks like he goes five hole to tie the game. Then what looks like a power play in OT he's set up as the right side bumper and scores the game winner with a one timer. Both the type of plays I love to see him making. For a kid who's "big" knock was lack of high end shot it is positive to see. It seems like Austria is asking a lot of him so this should be great for him.

Doesn't include today's two goals or crossbar, but nice compilation of plays

Cannot wait to get this kid in a Wings uniform I'm trying to be conservative in my projection for him, so I'll say he'll only be slightly better than Ovechkin

Kasper is playing for Austria in the Olympic qualifier warm up games, trying to find footage of his goals! This was against Slovenia

One holdup I've had on Mazur is his weight, but boy howdy am I excited, from the Winged Wheel Podcast where they interviewed him: "The weight room is somewhere I've been living the whole summer summer. I needed to put on weight and I feel like especially training in Detroit I have all the resources around me to do that. I feel like it's been a really successful offseason so far. " He says he is currently at 6'1 185 lbs. I hope he keeps pumping that up and can actually maintain his weight game in season were it is incredibly tough to do so.

https://x.com/LGRWProspects/status/1826210610884833551 MBN has had an excellent start in the SHL.... though he only has Nygard on his jersey maybe I need to start going with that Ended up on the bottom but I love to see him going at guys ASP hasn't played in either of the two preseason games with MBN so that has me a little worried...guessing injury

Like how they did with Marc Staal? Or getting reclamation projects like Fabbri, Walman, Bowey or Perlini?

It will be interesting to see how he fairs in Montreal

Oddly enough I know someone who's parents were on that flight haha. They had already been super delayed because of a plane malfunction too. I was shocked to see it was ol Gosder this morning, crazy. -
I realized that it was time with the new seasons starting....we should get a lot more highlights as the SHL season gets rolling.

I'm not sure what trading Larkin would do except thrust them back into another extended rebuild. It pretty much means guys like Seider and Raymond won't be competing much in their primes and undoes all the incremental improvements. And we've seen how long a rebuild can take, I don't think anyone wants to do that. I think they're still trending in the right direction and just need to hold course. Maybe my rose tinted glasses are too thick but I think guys like Danielson (puck carrying/possession in the neutral zone, zone entries on offense), Kasper (**** disturber, playoff performer) and MBN (heavy shot, excellent on the forecheck) are going to be fantastic compliments to what they have, they all bring an element that the Wings really need. I think you have to get them in the mix the next couple of seasons and see what you have. Add in that Cossa is developing and they have a couple other younger goalies in the mix I don't think you have to panic if they don't make the playoffs this season. -
