  1. I think MBN might be gone before the Wings' pick with how he played at worlds or whatever they call it. Eiserman scares the crap out of me since he seems to be all offense zero defense.
  2. Agreed, a Zegras type player should be who the Ducks are trying to acquire not ship out, so I'm really curious as to what has gone on. I can't say I've seen much of his play over the last season or two though. I do remember hoping the Wings would consider him in the draft but I'm very happy with Seider haha. I think without looking into how he's been on the ice, my guess is that the Ducks are seeing if someone is willing to give up way too much for him (listening to offers versus actively shopping him). I don't see Yzerman being the GM to overpay for him, but I guess stranger things have happened. I really don't know what to make of the situation overall though.
  3. It would be interesting with the Ducks souring on Zegras for whatever reason. Injury concerns? Lack of defense? too weird? I love Getzlaf's face in this. But Verbeek is in charge over there, so shipping Zegras off to his former boss would be an interesting background to the whole thing. Maybe he gives Steve the inside scoop and the Wings stay away?
  4. That is very surprising to me because the reported prices for their season ticket packages seem pretty damn high
  5. Most likely just minors fodder but it is good to try it out, free look at a younger guy
  6. I can take or leave Perron for one more season, he's old and slow but he was one of the few players playing hard/like it was playoff hockey down the stretch and he can at least win some board battles. I think I'm fine not signing Kane, he's electric offensively but is such a drag on defense and the Wings already have some players like that.
  7. Guessing Gylander and Bednar to Toledo.
  8. I thought Bednar might get a deal just for ECHL depth but in the end I don't think losing him will matter.
  9. Another goody from last night. L'Heurex has been an absolute rat this series so it has been good to see people go after him a bit. I know Tuomisto also bopped him good after a whistle around the Griffins' net. An interesting thing is that L'Heurex has actively gone at Cossa to talk **** after goals. Cossa no doubt must be talking a lot of **** too, I know one of his hallmarks in junior was being very confident and talking to other teams a lot. I think he does it in practice too apparently. Goalies... Edvinsson came back after missing games with an injury so that was huge. Danielson did take a seat though, he honestly must be tired after going through a playoff run already. It also looked like he needed to add strength playing against men. That should be good motivation to go hard in the offseason program so he has a chance to make the NHL next season. I don't think he even had time to practice with the Griffins, so it was a tough spot for him anyways.
  10. This west series should be pretty good
  11. Some of these reporters are so braindead lol
  12. Grand Rapids is down in their series but Wallinder had a good game last game Goal and assist
  13. Mark Spector is such an idiot, probably mostly rage bait
  14. Really excited he's playing, and at center.
  15. It will be tough with Chris Rooney reffing.... Vancouver is 11-0-1 in their last 12 games he's reffed for em 🤔
  16. No idea honestly, was just wild speculation (and a half joke) on my part! If there were any sort of indications it could be possible I would expect teams to try to unload space the next season or two to try to make it possible. Someone like the Canucks could be intriguing with some money coming off the books for them.
  17. There are already rumors he's gone to Columbus after this season too lol If it is true, I guess he didn't want the blame for when McDavid and Drai don't re-sign
  18. He's taller and heavier than Quinn Hughes already (at least both of their listed public numbers) and did the best bench press testing at his prospect combine, so I'm hoping he can overcome his smaller stature with his skills and hockey IQ. But it is another reason why he's the most intriguing prospect to me (range of outcomes from complete NHL bust to NHL superstar).
  19. I’m looking forward to seeing what ASP can do as he develops and fills out a bit, in my opinion he’s our most intriguing prospect
  20. exciting news, it will be interesting to see if or when he gets in a game
  21. I was quite surprised he got a pro contract but he seems to be showing whatever the team saw in him!
  22. Agreed, it felt like a small episode of Detroiters
