I thought him taking the puck and making the little dish to the defenseman for the Wings to reset was a very veteran-like move. Just from what I've seen this offseason I think I have bumped Danielson above Kasper in my personal prospect rankings.

DANIELSON!!!! 1-1!! He's looked solid, nice pass by Hirose to set him up for a beautiful snap shot through the six hole

It is going to take a while for me to see 41 and not think Glendening is somehow back Wings down 0-1 of course

He got cleared for contact at the beginning of camp surprisingly. I read a story that he and Beggren were getting into it with Larkin and Seider in camp which I found interesting. Good to see some fire from the boys at least...

I didn't realize Chiarot isn't in camp yet, his father passed away so he's dealing with that. Hope he and his family can find some solace in each other right now.

Some nice ASP context from someone on the HFBoards: 29 games last year in SHL/Champion's League ASP had a total of 2 goals and 3 assists. This year through 7 games he has 3 goals and an assist. He's stepping up against the adults, I am very encouraged by his play so far. I guess we'll need a 23-24 Prospect Thread here soon...

It felt great to make this thread I can't lie, hockey is almost back! Anisimov is an interesting invite. Hutchinson is another surprising invite with what they did in the offseason imo.

For what it is worth, Wallstedt played one game in the Wild's prospect tournament and gave up 4 goals on 25 shots for a beastly .840 save percentage this past weekend.

Can't say I've changed my feelings at all based on a summer scrimmage with players who have largely never played with each other, and who played without any sort of system or real game plan. For some players it was the first "game" they had played in a bit too. It is tough for me to put much stock in any of it. Would I like Cossa to be getting shut outs in the tournament at this point, definitely. But he's 20 years old and probably still coming to terms with his big frame and what not. It is going to take time and I'm willing to let it play out. I think the Wings made a good hedge with Augustine at least. First round goalies usually tend to start seeing time in the NHL in their D+4 season, which is next season for Cossa, so we'll see where we're at.

Would have loved to see Cossa make a save on one of those goals. They weren't easy plays by any means but I'm ready for him to start stealing games against his peers because I'm impatient haha. I thought Tuomisto had a good game overall. I like that Lombardi and Kasper are trying flashier plays. I hope Mazur isn't too seriously injured. Connor Punnett absolutely railroaded Dallas' captain then beat up the poor kid who tried to fight him. Overall it was nice to see some "hockey" !

Tuomisto looks pretty solid from what I've seen. Soderblom scored the first goal of the game, 1-0 in the first now.

Babcock and Jenner tried to refute it saying they were just showing each other family photos and getting to know each other. Bissonette has also doubled down saying they are lying and multiple players have talked to him. My guess is the truth is somewhere in between, I find biz to be a clown but this is 100% Babcock would do without thinking twice too. They should both just step down for their respective positions imo!
